serial rapists and serial murderers is how I read it.
How does that make sense? If I have to cover my entire yard with this stuff to get a decent amount of power that doesn't compete well.
Or you buy because there is a crazy amount of hype on the stock and a history of insane growth. Your expectation is more of the same. That suddenly changes dramatically. You sell.
The stock has been traded mostly on pure momentum and speculation of late. That kind of scenario is highly sensitive to any kind of news.
I'm surprised the tumble wasn't worse than it was. There must be some real solid long term money in play.
Or is the possibility that you may be armed supposed to act as a deterrent?
One hundred dollars is a major game changer. I've been somewhat reserved on the 3D printing hype because of a lack of necessity for most people, and a lack of precision/usefulness at the lower price range. This can change all of that. For one hundred dollars you no longer have to worry about longer term entertainment value or interest for children. It's the cost of a couple of video games. And for project work, you don't have to worry about needing it for multiple projects. At $100 a single use justifies the cost many times over. I'm looking into spending $400 right now on a single 3D print for a small product I'm working on.
I love rewarding ingenuity. BACKED!
That doesn't make it ad hominem. That's a phrase used in the context of a debate. jessedhillon isn't after the argument at all. He's attacking a certain behaviour.
ad hominem: "Your point about global warming is invalid because you slap your children and I don't like that."
not ad hominem: "You slap your children and I don't like that."
If I didn't know the game was released and well received, I'd say there's no way in hell it would be possible to put it all together on time, on budget, and without major flaws. Damn impressive.
When I was 12 I wasn't trying to build Seven Cities Of Gold, I was happy just to have a little blinking sprite move across the screen.
Nowadays you can fire up a browser and scratchpad and have a hello world alert box pop up in five seconds. And there are arduinos, and raspberry pi's, and crazy cool robotics kits. There's still plenty out there to motivate kids who are interested in tinkering.
The page with the section "So what is the difference between Android and CyanogenMod" talks about how Cyanogenmod comes to be created after each Android release but doesn't describe the actual features.
This announcement could be interpreted as strong support for the general concepts that Aubrey talks about.
I just looked it up and it appears as though these gestures you speak of are used for scrolling, swiping, zooming, and alternate clicking just like on a tablet.
I use the alternate button (left mouse button for me) for alternate clicking.
I use the middle button for scrolling.
Swiping, I think is to switch apps? That would be alt-tab.
Zooming is usually some key combination or key in combination with a left or right mouse button drag.
If you don't use the pointer it's probably just a matter of getting used to and tweaking the settings. Make sure to go into the mouse settings and play with both the trackpoint firm-touch, light-touch sensitivity as well as the operating system's pointer speed. Then just practice. I've even gotten to the point where I can do a half decent job playing a FPS with the trackpoint. I wouldn't try to compete in Quake Arena with it, but for casual single player use it's quite alright.
What's even better, you might agree, is that they are not stopping anybody else from setting off to create something more complicated than blogs and crud apps.
I don't know anything about WordPress's bulky editor, but how does the code base have any relevance to front end usability?
I have a 2013 Thinkpad so I know about the new keys and I don't mind them at all. And I really like that they've gotten rid of the trackpad completely on the new models since I hate trackpads even more than a separate mouse.
But I do rest my palms on the area beside the trackpad. Looking at the new models that area seems like it might be a bit short. I'm not sure where my wrists would rest there and I fear they may be in some in between zone not completely on the keyboard and not completely off of it. That would probably be annoying. Hopefully that's not the case. I'm tempted to order one of these just to find out whether I find them okay or not. If I don't, I'll have to scour the internet for older models and buy a few. Thanks for the heads-up :)
If that doesn't bother you, consider that the facts cited come from a "recent" report published in 1978.
But from my limited knowledge, bigger and bigger nukes wouldn't make a difference against deep hardened bunkers since they don't penetrate before detonation. When you look at pictures of atomic bomb damage you don't see deep craters, you see a wide area of surface level damage.
My god. That alone is enough to scare me. Why on earth would you create a single weapon so powerful when you aren't limited to only one? I guess I don't fully grasp the concept of an arms race because no matter how I think about it that just seems grossly irresponsible.
What kind of punishment are you talking about? If you imprison them what will you do with the kids? If they are poor and you fine them, is that going to be a net win for society?
And teachers? Teachers these days have near zero enforcement options. You can't make them responsible unless you also give them back some power. They sometimes suffer abuse from students as well.
I'd like to see details of how #1 would actually look. Nuber two is a definitely win. #3 would probably be inevitable because #1 would likely be full of holes and grey areas.
Your analog seems ill equipped to deal with the constant surveillance and responsibility a parent would face. The bartender simply stops serving. End of responsibility. If the patron becomes abusive he gets kicked out by the bouncer. For parents you are talking about a scenario where there is no end of responisibility. You can't just kick them out into someone else's bar.
And what about enforcement? So you see bad stuff on your kid's phone repeatedly...in the end all you can do is take it away. Then they go to the computer. Then you take that away. Then they stay after school to use the computers there. Really I don't expect the symptom mitigation solutions to be very effective.
