gomerspiles··on LinkedIn does not use European users' data for training its AI
Microsoft probably owns the physical media from before LinkedIn was acquired so by your physical ownership logic they can keep using all the data you have "deleted" and ignore your new opt outs on all those backups..

The point of making legislation is to have things to enforce at times like buy outs to say things there is no reasonable way to enforce our expectation that our 2FA numbers are not abused by this new buyer so the buyout can not continue.

Maybe you don't need a job social network, but presuming you do you have no way of knowing what org will own the physical media of the one you pick today unless it is in a country with competence, I.e. not the US.

gomerspiles··on Love of cargo bikes is changing how we deliver goods in our cities
I find it a bit odd that people do so much service. Is there something about modern chain oil that makes it less effective than in the 80s? I'm pretty sure I forgot the chain most years, though whatever bike I had was always an example of survivor bias.

Aside from how ridiculous it would be to buy double coverage, it can just make the problem worse with both companies trying to argue they aren't the primary and that their doing anything may be duplication of coverage. But some more paper work should resolve that once you are dead.
gomerspiles··on The unknowns surrounding the mysterious rise of cancer in young adults
> [.. &] alcohol consumption, and tobacco use were the main risk factors for major early-onset cancers

This would be a good explanation for any decline in early onset cancer given that a 40 year old could not have been binge drinking and smoking at their height in 1970s UK.

Right, so this is an example of a UPF that would be more harmful than avoiding UPFs given that it confuses the senses and most people don't want to track everything and refuse themselves food according to the numbers.

One could naturally make UPFs that are entirely boring, but his would they compete on the consumer market with UPFs like the diet cola?

Norway seems to have an electric grid that even connects to other countries.. They are complaining about last mile maintenance costs divided by users?

Diet Cola is about the same as water nutritionally but is a UPF. It's my understanding that adding diet cola to one's diet causes the same weight gain as cola. Obviously this can't be a direct calorie result, so this is about messing up the our perceptions for the normal range of food.
gomerspiles··on Redis users considering alternatives after licensing move
Sure, the goal of a company is profit not market share. Plenty of businesses that couldn't make money while expanding make all their money over the years or decades it takes to drive all the customers away.
