gepeake··on Speaking with the Mind – Neuralink [video]
I'd bet we're on the order of months before he can stream thoughts to speech. Incredible
gepeake··on Show HN: ResolveHQ – A Helpdesk Built on Cloudflare Workers, D1, R2 and Queues
Just used a very similar stack to make my own mail client. Workers for routing, Resend for sending, uses a CF and Resend key to set up any inbox on any domain I want ~instantly so I can have inboxes for everything. Very cool, I think workers are underrated!
gepeake··on I rewrote my back end in Go in 72 hours – the 30 day follow-up
Server not found is pretty funny for a vibecode rewrite project
gepeake··on What Happened to Borland? [video]
"A specific and load bearing property" + images that scrub left and right annoyingly the entire video. I may be cynical but I believe the entire video was produced by Claude
gepeake··on Evolve: An incremental game about evolving a civilization
Very similar to trimps
gepeake··on Google has acquired the data of failed US airline Spirit
Gemini will now know how to run a dysfunctional business, perfect
gepeake··on Show HN: iPhone app takes simultaneous images from 2 lenses, fuses into 1 photo
Not physically the same but same concept: combining multiple images from slightly different angles to increase information density.
gepeake··on The Strongest El Niño Ever Forecast and the Hunger It Will Leave Behind
Scary. From the news I see, there are seemingly many more wildfires, hurricanes, and now heatwaves and an El Niño that are breaking their records by significantly more than the 0.1 C that the actual climate has changed in the past 10 years. It feels possibly apocalyptic to project this exponential trend forward. From the perspective of someone just reading the media I'm unable to be sure whether this is a red car effect, the media just knowing this content works, or whether this is simply the state of things. Are there any experts that might shed some light?
gepeake··on Show HN: iPhone app takes simultaneous images from 2 lenses, fuses into 1 photo
This was actually a purported feature of the Pixel 3 camera. Google said it would be constantly taking photos and the different information captured as your hand moved slightly could be used to create higher information density photos. It didn't work very well at that point but the idea was cool!
gepeake··on Google Just Ruined One of Its Most Important Tools
Anyone could have (and can still) just take a screengrab from maps and use nano banana. People trying to spread false information were not suddenly empowered by this tool
gepeake··on Holocloth
New website captcha: fold this towel
gepeake··on Show HN: Ski – Voice Coding for Claude Code, Codex and More – On-Device – Free
Looks neat. One nit: I notice the user is on the left in the chat interface which runs counter to literally every chat interface I've ever used!
gepeake··on House passes bill to enact year-round Daylight Saving Time across the country
> But detractors say it could have economic consequences, particularly for farmers who would have to wrestle with later sunrises.

I genuinely don't understand the "farmer's like DST" argument. Farmer's schedules are dictated by the sun not the time and the sun changes continuously year round. If the argument is about commercial coordination that follows the same logic of being difficult regardless given constantly shifting sunlight, at least without DST there's year-round consistency by the other businesses.

gepeake··on Show HN: I built a one-prompt hackathon platform, free entry, sponsored prizes
No rule against making the prompt the source? i.e. develop locally and then just have your prompt be, "Write the following, verbatim to app.js ```code```"?
gepeake··on Companies Are Just a Graph of Algorithms
I actually wrote something very similar to this concept a few days ago about what the next steps of AI in software development might look like: https://gpeake.com/blog/abstraction
gepeake··on Ask HN: Most beautiful personal blog UI you have ever seen?
I just finished building mine! https://gpeake.com
gepeake··on OrgChart: Coding Agent Organizations (Open Source)
Thought I'd share my experiment in trying make coding agents organize more like engineering orgs.

Internet Archive link just in case: https://web.archive.org/web/20250902070137/https://gpeake.co...

gepeake··on Embeddable Community Chats – Vaga Waitlist Open
"Forever free"... but only until 1000 messages. Can't tell if this is just over ambitious advertising or was it meant to be 1000/m?
gepeake··on MIT engineers build a battery-free, wireless underwater camera
Sonar is a likely cause for whales beaching themselves, using sound to transmit the image data underwater may do more harm than good.
gepeake··on Show HN: I made a Cloudflare Worker that injects OpenGraph data into a React SPA
Just FYI, the new wrangler supports direct typescript support including minification so webpack isn’t necessary anymore
gepeake··on Want the best software engineers? Stop looking at Stanford and Berkeley
This is voluntary data, the average CS grad from Berkeley doesn’t need a code signal test to find a job. The cream of the crop at Swarthmore likely does.
gepeake··on Show HN: Pioche.js, a Powerful, Fully Typed Framework for Cloudflare Workers
Hey everyone, after writing a few small apps for Workers I saw that I always had to cross the same hurdles. So, for the past few months I've been building Pioche and I think it recently reached a point where I think it could benefit people. Just write decorated controllers and deploy, no more worrying about configuration, event handlers, or routing. If you think it's cool give it a star and share it!
gepeake··on Adaptive Cards (platform-agnostic snippets of UI, authored in JSON)
Seems great if you like Microsoft's opinionated design
