generaltsos··on AI real-time human full-body photo generator
At last, a way to complete the AI-generated cycle that https://thispersondoesnotexist.com/ started.
generaltsos··on Sandy Bridge: Setting Intel’s modern foundation
I still run the i7-2600k which I purchased new along with the ASUS P8P67 Deluxe motherboard in 2011 (maybe 2012?). It's been overclocked and water cooled from the start, I believe somewhere in the neighborhood of 4.5 or 4.7 GHz, and despite updating my RAM and GPU during that time, I have had practically zero issues whatsoever with the CPU and motherboard. It's certainly not very performant when compared to newer generations of Intel CPU, but for a little bit of gaming here and there I really can't complain!

I'm no expert on cholesterol, but does fried Chinese food not have the same cholesterol level as other fried food?

generaltsos··on The Gun-Law Loophole That Entices Tycoons and Criminals to Play Cop
This sounds more like a problem with accountability for police departments than a fundamental flaw in LEOSA. Bloomberg is fundamentally opposed to any sort of pro-2A stance, however, so they would much rather blame the supposedly-lenient gun laws.
generaltsos··on Privacy underground: a class on privacy, held at a secret location
It appears that this site has been embraced by the HN-hug-of-death.
generaltsos··on Hacking Nuclear Systems Is The Ultimate Cyber Threat. Are We Prepared?
It seems to me that many in the information security field have known that SCADA systems are extremely vulnerable for quite some time. To me, the question this article raises is:

"Does mentioning the possibility of nuclear system breaches increase the likelihood that SCADA system manufacturers and their customers will take the important steps to provide increased security?"
