looking back I do feel i've been oversharing things but here goes nothing.
But recently there has been a surge around MCPs being able to query databases provided the n-number of MCP servers popping up. An example: https://www.reddit.com/r/ChatGPTCoding/comments/1jd9lfa/lear...
So I was wondering of things like the Doris blogpost, this paper and sqlcoder are still relevant/what extra does this approach offer vs trying to build a over mcp?
You summarize the past convestion in this thread. - Start with a overall summary in a single paragraph - Then show a bullet pointed list of the most interesting illustrative quotes from the piece - Then a bullet point list of the most unusual ideas - provide a longer summary that covers points not included already - Finally, Step by step/phase by phase understanding of the ideas discussed above
Upon asking this was a response from the team: "The Discourse content is no longer available. Much of it was 5+ years old and no longer reflected current SDKs and APIs. We're glad to help you here."

people were unhappy obviously. I really don't understand this decision by them.
Could you shed some lights on what parts of bge-m3 would modernbert overlap with or would this is comparing apples to oranges?
wrote a elaborate doc on using wal-g on nixos, might be useful if someone finds themselves in same boat. has some catches.

edit: i still haven't figured out how as a kid i could remember whole chapter literally word-by-word but now I can't even properly remember a phone number. hah.
edit: yes that should be possible that's what op mentioned
but using supabase for auth, this means if need to play w RLS but i had a very simple db design and didn't want to include rls yet. supabase won't let me do it afaik.
so i switched to using ory/kratos ultimately.
also q, how heavily are we dependent on supabase ecosystem if all we want is the db?
i don't think my math problem is new. i remember after one summer vacation(we used to get one full month break in school during summers) after summer vacation i totally forgot how to do subtraction, i had difficulty subtracting 2 digit numbers. this was around 8th standard.
later this problem came up in other areas, i catch things pretty quickly but forget them faster! so the way i am currently approaching math and other problem solving is i keep in touch with everything very casually by doing minimal practice and this is good enough for me for now whenever i need to jump into more advanced stuff.
plus chatgpt/claude has been a lifesaver in this regard related to concepts but I don't think anything can beat the intuition that comes from practice. I've heard good things about math academy but idk if it'll be good for me as I don't like to do "math" on the computer and don't like quizzes much.
this method had me explore deeper software engineering problem trying to solve every stuff. Since there's no deadline you can do it recreationally.
For a feel of recreationally, I really like this tscoding yt channel stream, he does long videos, pretty calming to watch.
more precisely wanted to understand how do you generate the event stream from sqlite
have a checklist kind of a thing here if it helps: https://geekodour.org/docs/tools/homelab/#backup-plan I've not updated it in a while my setup has diverged since
1. aider makes some change 2. aider then tells itself to use pexpect to check what changes it made 3. pexpect runs, opens browser somehow captures error messages if any and feeds that back?
i am pretty sure i misunderstood something
wrote about it very roughly here https://blog.geekodour.org/posts/upserts/
