I've been thinking about hosting my own LLM to see if I can hyper customized it to me basically, kinda like an AI companion. My main issue is building the hardware, there so much fluff in that space, it's hard to know what to get and what works well together
most of the first round I've done are just leet code ... also saying the market is terrible is an understatement, it's the worst I've seen in over a decade.
I found this laughable at best, this not school anymore kid welcome to the real world, people will do what they need to do to get what they want but I do agree hiring process is broken for many other reasons.
I actually think it's clever marketing but I can understand how it can be disappointing for some ... I was just trying to understand why that person said what they said
Personally I think most of my depression comes down to not getting any joy out of my job as a dev and just doing it to pay the bills ... at then end of the day it's so draining that I have no energy left to work on personal projects, the current job market is not helping either to jump ship elsewhere
this is honestly the most bizzare story in gaming ... first you have Sony that claims this acquisition will give MS an unfair advantage in cloud gaming yet they run all their cloud workloads on Azure, then you have the UK that agrees with Sony yet we all know they're just afraid that all the Activision players would leave their platform. And now people are acting like MS is the bad guy because what? they have money?
