First, you could set expectations that all questions are invited but you will record the conversation (or video call) and reply with an organized response to code questions. You are free to ask whatever questions you want to. This limits questions you must answer on the spot to things like availability, etc. You probably know those answers comfortably. If they balk, just ask them to trust you. Then make sure to deliver. A helpful skill is to always be comfortable to say "I will get back to you about that." If you don't feel free to say that, the anxiety might be from not knowing what it is like when that is said. In that case, try it. It's a normal thing in my opinion.
And from what you are saying, they will notice the difference if they don't take you up on your request. Be proactive so it's their choice if they decline your request.
Second idea, for remote work, is to respond via recorded video. I have clients send me recorded video of their questions and activity on the screen. It works well because it's personal and it's async. When first starting out, people hiring do need to see a face and hear a voice. This is a useful next-best option.
Your situation sounds challenging. Your desire to discuss it is commendable.
My approach is to choose to not let these conversations slip. I do this by writing down whatever I need to on a piece of paper next to me. I find that because I'm working alone I don't get the feedback I need. By writing it down I can switch back, and this serves a purpose other than to simply not forget it. It allows the thought to continue and I don't get stuck. Maybe I write a list, maybe I write a task, maybe a diagram. Many times it's a question.
Because the internal dialogue flows better my other present at-hand work can resume sooner after the interruption. In the meantime, I'm having a debate on the side about whether it really is a better idea than what I'm doing, and it gives me room to consider things in a more reasonable way, without the pressure of mental logjamming.
I switch back and forth. Each time I am giving the proper focus needed.
Also, these are generally for me not troubling or repeatedly negative thoughts because in moments when those kind of thoughts are present I stop everything and it gets full attention to get resolved. The situation then is it's not so much a logjam but the river itself has run dry. Gotta get that figured out asap because it not only affects present ability to work but future as well.
There's something about the combination of the code, the brevity of your comments about how it works, and the humor. I was just discussing with the kids how I daydream mostly about what it would be like to be somewhere else.
Thanks for sharing your humor!
I can get some apps to work, but Signal is not one of them because of GSF. Langis is an alternative. And I see Signal in the screenshots for the ROM so this caught my eye. Apps that don't work for me typically are because of my device being rooted. In fact, because I simply installed the Huntington bank app on my device, the bank claimed my device was hacked. I had to change my accounts as they closed them immediately.
In the health insurance industry, for example, many insurance portals offer one account that has to be used by a team. And, in a team scenario where all staff need access to all third party vendor accounts, it can be simpler to share the one password rather than manage 10.
For on site systems under a company's control, they can enforce the policies. But third party resources are where the limitations are. It's not the company that's minimal on security hygiene, it's the non-tech vendor in many cases.
The back lights on ones (~$250) that are lower priced can crap out after a few years. They are strips of LEDs chained together. The entire top half of bottom half will go dim. I have disassembled and fixed but it's not worth it.
I also use a laptop on a stand and stand at my desk. Both are easy to move as the desk is a square, drafting style setup with the top laid flat. The TV hangs from the ceiling, and can swivel left right.
Maybe you could set your desk in the other direction.

Proxmox's hosts controller does not require being on ZFS itself...you can have multiple drives and filesystems. If it were available to Proxmox and not passed through, it could be allocated only to a particular VM. In case that was your only end goal..
But also in the cases when the VMs are never running at the same time. Sometimes the "shop" closes and gaming starts...
The "qm" page shows:
qm start <vmid> [OPTIONS]
Start virtual machine. But even better for me, the ease and ability to pass through a GPU and run Windows in a VM while using modifiable resources makes it so flexible.
I've been a customer for over two years and they provide support with a super reasonable yearly subscription of just $99. The forum is active and the updates are recent and up to speed.
In my opinion, it involves a much deeper issue than the views of the individuals in those relationships. I would proprose there are limited ways to answer the question of "Who am I?" and "What is my purpose?".
1) We cannot know. 2) I decide for myself and my view is not influenced by any "other". 3) I am able to know and my view is influenced by an "other".
Obviously, how one answers those questions ultimately leads to the answer of your question. My personal belief is not at issue here. I was attempting to promote an openness of consideration of the views of others.
Our dilemma is discussing this topic is that we have the freedom to hold different systems of belief. This results in fundamental lacking of common ground which results in each of us appearing to be a bigot to the other. I would not propose anyone to have the spirit of bigot, but it appears some on the thread cannot entertain the possibility that others have a reasonable approach to how they view topics of personal belief, and the consistency is - at the very least - something not willing at the moment to be considered. Unfortunate.
It amazes me how no one challenges the logic. They just downvote.
Edit: I would also add that the disapproving must be "unreasonable" as this is part of the definition of bigotry. Merely holding a different view does not qualify one as bigot.
"Time Reversal" would be better written as "Time-reversal" in title.
First, I find this happens to me when I get busy. The key is doing the work "for me" before the work "for others". Wait up earlier and make my work matter.
Second, I used to get up from my desk where I met clients, and literally sit on the other side to write out what needed to change. And then I would get up and go back to the first side and get to it. That mental shift of looking the other way was very useful.
The diaper would have been standard protocol for a long mission seated. In this case, it was while driving in a car to confront someone 900 miles away. She meticulously planned her own mission.
They handle stressful situations systematically. In this case, the guy handles multiple affairs while lying and operates with his own emergency checklist.
The article doubles as a report of "look how much money has been spent at NASA this is all we've done."
I had a client who was put on a plan and they hoped he would quit. He was irked but he stayed. The manager eventually quit.
Which one is the myth-iest in your opinion?
