> 404 Media is one of the few news organizations that actually file FOIA and fight for information in courtrooms.

How many is a "few"? Many news organizations, from the national outlets to local places, use national and state FOIA requests to report on stories.

> The crazy thing is I hadn't been online on Twitter for almost a month [1]. I hadn't logged in at all. So how could I have broken any rules?

Someone probably found your email in a data breach and used it to attempt logins or password resets.

gaws··on Ask HN: Is Reddit trying to kill old Reddit?
> avoid the bad PR they’ll get from killing it.

What "bad PR"? They easily survived requiring accounts to view old.reddit.com. Moving from one interface to another won't result in as big of a backlash as the API changes.

gaws··on Ask HN: Is Reddit trying to kill old Reddit?
Reddit isn't "stuck." The moment all the features they want in the new interface are implemented and working, they will kill old.reddit.com and will force users to migrate. The old.reddit.com "superusers" are the minority, and Reddit won't care if they lose those users during the transition.
gaws··on Ask HN: Why is every company encorporating AI everywhere?
> Why is every company encorporating AI everywhere?
