ganeshkrishnan··on Biden Allows Ukraine to Strike Russia with Long-Range U.S. Missiles
Russia gave freedom to my country. And to almost 90% of global south. Russia also gave freedom to Europe from Nazi Germany. Communist fighters also gave their lives for freedom from Nazis in most Scandinavian countries including baltic.

The only three countries that invaded and threatened to invade are US, UK and Germany.

History is now repeating as a farce run by a senile demented 90 year old man who doesnt care about anyones lives because he doesnt have much left either.

ganeshkrishnan··on Biden Allows Ukraine to Strike Russia with Long-Range U.S. Missiles
24x7 all your historic comments on this site is about how russia is bad and why we should start a nuclear war. Most likely you are one of the brain damaged cia astroturfer.

I left reddit due to all the official shillings and now its the same garbage propaganda from braindead retards like you

ganeshkrishnan··on Biden Allows Ukraine to Strike Russia with Long-Range U.S. Missiles

Russia #1

Germany #2

Poland #3

I dont know if you guys are just trolling, genuinely braindead retards or official astroturfers from the 3 letter soups

ganeshkrishnan··on Biden Allows Ukraine to Strike Russia with Long-Range U.S. Missiles
Genocidal Russians? Russia hosts the largest Ukrainian refugee population.
ganeshkrishnan··on Biden Allows Ukraine to Strike Russia with Long-Range U.S. Missiles
You are peeing against the wind by talking logic here. I witnessed the same rabid propaganda by Americans for Iraq war and same rabid propaganda for Syrian war, for Libyan war, for Afghanistan...

They don't care. It's not their lives or their family or their land

ganeshkrishnan··on Biden Allows Ukraine to Strike Russia with Long-Range U.S. Missiles
And here I am thinking only reddit has unhinged posts...
ganeshkrishnan··on China sanctions US drone maker Skydio
I could make up judicial cases and sanctions galore.. It's the reason why wto exists.

Huawei is neither sanctioned by wto nor Europe (till 2029) or any other part of the world

ganeshkrishnan··on China sanctions US drone maker Skydio
Likewise skydio got sanctions after arming Taiwan. Can you arm Russia from within US without sanctions?
ganeshkrishnan··on Introducing ChatGPT Search
I was thinking of the direction we are going and even wanted to write up a blog about it. IMO the best way forward would be if AI can have some logical thoughts independent of human biases but that can only happen if AI can reason unlike our current LLMs that just regurgitate historical data.

growing up, we had the philosophical "the speaking tree" https://www.speakingtree.in/

If trees could talk, what would they tell us. Maybe we need similarly the talkingAI

ganeshkrishnan··on Rapamycin: One Drug, Many Effects (2014)
I just have a bad taste for David Sinclair after his whole debacle of cashing in on company and making billions of false promises. He was also sacked from harvard for this https://longevity.technology/news/david-sinclair-resigns-as-...

He also blocked Brad Stanfield (who, I kind of look up to for a lot of health research)

Hard to take him seriously after all this.

ganeshkrishnan··on Launch HN: Skyvern (YC S23) – open-source AI agent for browser automations
awesome work. I had the github starred from the day I saw on Show HN but never got around to using it.

I want to use this to automate approving/declining group members for our facebook group which is approaching half million members and fb admin tools are pretty lacking

ganeshkrishnan··on Mochi 1 preview. A new SOTA in open-source video generation. Apache 2.0
the playground doesnt work ;(

and to run it locally I would need 4 H100

Is there anyway I can test this?

ganeshkrishnan··on Show HN: Llama Workspace – An Open Source ChatGPT Teams Alternative
>Llama Workspace connects to AI providers like OpenAI and Anthropic via API. In the API, each word for the most commonly used model (GPT-4o at the time of writing) costs approximately $0.000025. Therefore, to break even with the ChatGPT Teams license, which costs $30/seat/month, you would need to generate 1,200,000 words.

I would debate this one. As a "normal" user of chatgpt with around 10-20 questions a day, I can exceed this $30 per month because

1) it's not a word per se but token. A lot of the words are tokenized.

2) for each chat, for each question all the context above is re-sent and counts for cost.

I think pivoting towards self hosting llama models and charging for them might be more profitable to you and to the users.

ganeshkrishnan··on The fentanyl funnel: How narcos sneak deadly chemicals through the U.S.
Article makes zero sense. The fact that these goods are routed to Mexico is in passive voice. Who exports it from US?

Why would they route through US which has a higher standard of screening rather than shipping it directly to Mexico?

What's is the import export certificate label on these boxes? US importers are registered with bonds.

Who picks up these boxes in the US?

What's with master carton? You can't really create cartons randomly. They all have to belong to same shipper.

What's the import code on these package? It's impossible to lie and smuggle stuff like these. You can say these are medical products then who is listed as American importer?

ganeshkrishnan··on The fentanyl funnel: How narcos sneak deadly chemicals through the U.S.
There was $1.6 billion allocated for fighting 'disinformation'

So expect more quality articles like this.

Did you also notice the subtle "Russian doll" anchor in the article?

ganeshkrishnan··on India's moment is hurt by interference label
This is absolutely the US pushing Canada for these events. The whole thing was probably spied on by the five eyes and it's very secretive nature makes it impossible for evidence to be released.

India has been asking for evidence for more than a year.

Surprisingly, India ordered around 32 drones for 3 billion dollars; probably to pacify the US.

Modi should know that the only reason he was being courted was because relationships broke down with Russia and China.

US is trying desperately to make sure that India doesn't strengthen relationships with these two either bilaterally or via BRICS.

Modi is through the looking glass and I hope he is smart enough to know that.

ganeshkrishnan··on Why the Baltic States Fear Russia's Kaliningrad Exclave
That's the brain on propaganda. There is no Russian that I ever met that hated either polish or Americans or ukranians. And I used to stay in Russian neighborhood
ganeshkrishnan··on How I animate 3Blue1Brown [video]
I absolutely love his voice. Its so calm and soothing that I can have his video running on the side while I am doing my chores and can still learn stuff.

Content creators like this deserve the recognition

ganeshkrishnan··on Y Combinator Traded Prestige for Growth
completely data driven and pseudonymous. Everyone enters what they are building, traction, progress so far, team etc and internal team votes based on the data progress without looking at founder profile.

make it fair instead of funding the same golden-spoon cliquey gang over and over again.

ganeshkrishnan··on Y Combinator Traded Prestige for Growth
>Original YC would not reject founders over their current product strategy and because they haven't figured out the right way to structure their business--haven't put together the "proof" that they could be on track to be a unicorn, etc. That's a VC rejection. Of course, YC gets many thousands of applications and has to reject most of them. You could say they shouldn't be criticized for trying to give a little feedback.

My controversial opinion is that they should stop giving feedback. "Tis better to be silent and be thought a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt."

My startup got rejected because "valuation is unlikely to cross 100 million". Everyone is entitled to their opinion but we are already at 10m valuation and AI in ecommerce doesn't really have 100m cap.

Most of the founders on reddit and discord take the YC feedback as gospel and give up/pivot when its absolutely the last thing they should be doing. Unfortunately we will always have this power imbalance between VC and startups

ganeshkrishnan··on Taiwan is behind schedule in preparations to fend off Chinese invasion
Pushing for diplomacy and peace for better economy is heresy now as it always was. It's your forum so I will stop commenting. Peace out
ganeshkrishnan··on Taiwan is behind schedule in preparations to fend off Chinese invasion
The whole post is low quality simping for war in one more geography pushed by the thin veneer of drum beats of the US military media.

It's the same "Iraq has wmd" Bs all over again pushed by these trash rags.

Of course it will be "low quality and flamebait" for y'all

ganeshkrishnan··on US Fed: US export controls to China wiped out $130B
you can use twitter and subscribe to just economics. I worked in the financial world for a long time and this is what I do currently.

do note that the financial world is much more pessimistic and doom-gloom than the current geopolitical wars with USD/JPY carry trade unwinding, US treasury debts being dumped and USD loosing sheen slowly in global trades.

ganeshkrishnan··on A $1T Time Bomb Is Ticking in the Housing Market
>DeltaTerra Capital, a research firm he founded to warn investors about the next housing crisis. This one will be caused by climate change

>DeltaTerra Capital is an investment research and consulting firm serving institutional clients that seek to mitigate climate risk exposure

A hedge fund that sells climate risk solutions warns of climate change risk problems.

The internet nowadays is just ads, ads pretending to be news, propaganda, seo landfill and staged social media videos. I am glad I got to enjoy the early 2000's geocities/myspace genuine human connections internet.

ganeshkrishnan··on Taiwan is behind schedule in preparations to fend off Chinese invasion
you forgot to add Latin America, Africa, South East Asia. Basically 90% of the world.

One of the geographical trick question is "Which country has the US NOT bombed?" and not many people can answer this.

ganeshkrishnan··on The US fiscal mess: Some unpleasant fiscal simulations
Sovereign Debts are the Treasury Bonds. There is no chance in hell, it will have a lower rating. The debt will always be paid off, at the cost of higher yields for the future. Its an extremely unpleasant situation but inflation and higher taxes are first in line before even any possibility of Treasuries defaulting.
ganeshkrishnan··on Google has a search ban on President Donald Trump
The infographic that you see is not autocomplete. Autocomplete on Google stops if you type "President Donald Tr"

on Bing.com it shows plenty of results after that. eg "Donald Trump News" , "Donald Trump Democrat or Republican", "Website" etc etc.
