ganarajpr··on Ask HN: What are you working on? (June 2026)
I have been working on, Dhee an AI Video Orchestrator. The main problem with creating AI Videos is that it takes a lot of different tools and co-ordination. What if we could have a expect curated repository of workflows for creating AI Videos or Comics or Music or anything digital honestly!!!

That is why I created Dhee Desktop / Dhee Core ( Open Source https://github.com/dheeai/dhee-desktop https://github.com/dheeai/dhee-core ) - which allows anyone to author and run their own workflows for creating AI videos. Its local first, fully customizable, private runner for your workflows or any kind of community provided workflows(bundles) too (Comes with a few built in bundles to generate a full multi-scene segment just from story! ).

Its not just a workflow runner, but rather comes with an AI agent to manipulate the generations. AI images and video models often make mistakes ( extra limbs, wrong face etc ), You can ask the Agent to make changes to the prompts, trigger a rerun, Completely change the character and only trigger the exact shots in which he/she appears etc. It knows and tracks the dependencies.

My mission is to make it super easy for anyone and everyone to be able to create AI videos that they want to watch. I am envisioning a future where you make your own movies and watch it on your PC / TV rather than wait for someone else to make a movie that you want.

You can check out how it works on https://dhee.studio

ganarajpr··on Ask HN: What are you working on? (September 2025)
I am working on a answer engine for Hindu Scriptures and old Sanskrit works. I already have a corpus of all the documents which are indexed and currently working on a LLM based answer engine that focuses on answering questions from Vedas and Upanishads and Mahabharata (for ex). Think perplexity but completely focused on Sanskrit sources with proper quotations from the exact verses where the answers are found.

Planning to release this into the wild for people to use. I currently am struggling on how to fund this properly as the server costs are going to be huge for such an effort (search engine + LLM).

ganarajpr··on The $25k car is going extinct?
Dont know if this is available in US and Europe markets but I would consider Mahindra XEV 9e, BE 6E and BE 9E to be in the $25k segment and afaik, they are the best in the class for that price point ( in terms of looks and maybe even features ). I dont know if these are being exported out of India right now, but they definitely should be hitting the US and UK markets sometime soon.
ganarajpr··on India launches attack on 9 sites in Pakistan and Pakistani Jammu and Kashmir
Lol, whats disingenuous is your arguments, honestly. So, either you have to argue that Pakistan's military is extremely idiotic / naive that it could not even detect a known terrorist living just around the corner or you have to argue that they knowingly kept him in their "shadow". The vast majority of the people believe its the latter - you are free to believe that they were idiots.
ganarajpr··on Ask HN: Where do you reliably find worldwide remote jobs?
Come on dude. Read the news. Almost nobody (no country) wants immigrants.
ganarajpr··on Pakistan's 22 GW Solar Shock: How a Fragile State Went Full Clean Energy
The main reason for this is the exhorbitant cost of Energy in the country - apart from the constant 6-8 hrs powercut even in the urban centers.

I have seen videos where a layman, who earns around 20-30k a month is slapped with a 32k electricity bill. I am not sure if a layman with means of this level is adopting Solar, but surely anyone else with the money to afford it will. Mostly because it makes economic sense.

ganarajpr··on DiceDB
Why are you guys building Yet Another DB ? Not trying to dissuade you, but what are you trying to solve that the plethora of DB's currently in market in the same space have not solved ? This should be highlighted in your landing page and since your primary audience is other dev's ( tough-est crowd to sell ), be very specific on what value your product brings over the other choices.
ganarajpr··on Find My Device on Android
The one thing I want to find is my earpods inside their case. I mean how hard is it to implement this for a company? Take my money please ? Just allow me to find my earpod and its case ?
ganarajpr··on Show HN: Fructose – LLM calls as strongly typed functions
Have you done any comparison with DSPy ? (https://github.com/stanfordnlp/dspy)

Feels very similiar to DSPy except you dont have optimizations yet. But I like your API and the programming model your are enforcing through this.

ganarajpr··on What it was like working for Gitlab
So, you think a software engineer in India can just "choose" to come and work in the US ?
ganarajpr··on What it was like working for Gitlab
Companies attempting to pay an engineer according to location, in my opinion, is another kind of discrimination. You are supposed to pay an employee based on his/her abilities, not her location.

We have rules in govts that companies should not discriminate against employees based on sex, religion, sexual orientation etc etc.. But it is fair to discriminate the salary of an employee based on location? For ex: I know a few friends who have moved from Europe to Asia with the same role and are getting paid less compared to what they were getting paid in Europe. Its the same role, its the same person, but getting paid less just because of location ?

ganarajpr··on Ask HN: Those making $500/month on side projects in 2024 – Show and tell
Do you have a blog or a write up explaining how you went about doing this ?
ganarajpr··on Show HN: Build an open-source computer vision model in seconds using text
Awesome project. Exactly what I was looking for.

When it produces a set of images for a given prompt, wouldnt it be better if we could remove a set of images from the possible selection ? Does it not work this way? Another idea would be to provide a few different kinds of prompts and based on that select all the images that matter for the given "class".

Some other things that would be good to know:

1. Can we keep adding items to the classifier? and getting newer versions of the classifier with the newly added item ? 2. How to deploy and host this kind of models? Is there any guidelines on how to deploy this in AWS or GCS for production use cases ?

ganarajpr··on Genie: Text to 3D in Seconds
Came here to say the exact same thing. The Homepage graphic is absolutely mesmerizing.
ganarajpr··on Toward the Decipherment of Harappan (2022)
Will leave this here for people who might want to look at a comprehensive phd thesis on this matter. I personally found the reasoning very agreeable.

ganarajpr··on Car allergic to vanilla ice cream (2000)
The story is like one from a Sherlock Holmes novel. Quite fascinating :)
ganarajpr··on Launch HN: Twenty.com (YC S23) – Open-source CRM
What was that factor that made YC accept you into their batch then ? What differentiator did you guys bring ?
ganarajpr··on Launch HN: Twenty.com (YC S23) – Open-source CRM
Can you talk a bit more regarding your go to market strategy ? How will you approach potential customers and what is your pitch going to be for them to get rid of SF in favour of your "untested" product - as how they would see it ?

I am more interested in the marketing strategy since I am working on a very similiar problem, but in a slightly tangential software which is monopolising the market. Any advice / insights on this would be appreciated.

ganarajpr··on Indian Sign Talk (1893)
Exactly where I am coming from. As an Indian, I am personally not fine with this. I want my identity distinctly identifiable without having to double check if its from the Asian continent!
ganarajpr··on Indian Sign Talk (1893)
Why has no one come up with a different name for the Native Americans? I know Columbus confused it to be India and called them Indians - but do we need to persist in his ignorance? To be honest if I had only read the title of this story I would have assumed that it dealt with a sign language invented in India.

I know this is the wrong place to complain about this, but hey, you need to start the conversation somewhere!

ganarajpr··on It's easier and faster to pirate an e-book, than it is to buy it
THIS. This is especially true for old (and new?) academic books / works. If its really popular book, old academic books are available to buy at exorbitant prices ($100-$1000+) or alternatively you can just get it free as a pirated pdf. Guess what most people will prefer!
ganarajpr··on Atom was archived today
If it was according to Hindu calendar you can perform the shraddha (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C5%9Ar%C4%81ddha) today for atom .
ganarajpr··on Pakistan's lost city of 40k people
That is no longer the view of even David Reich.

Lets not conflate what is a fact and what is a theory. Aryans came in 2000 years later is not a fact but a theory and there are multiple holes in that theory. So, lets not flaunt that dubious theory when its not even substantiated with proofs.

ganarajpr··on Pakistan's lost city of 40k people
I have heard that it was a victim of the 200 year famine that hit most parts of the world during 2000-1900 BCE timeframe. At the same time, the mega river that streamed through central India dried up completely adding insult to injury. This MAY be the cause of the collapse of civilization.

As far as I have seen, this is the best plausible explanation for the collapse - so far.

ganarajpr··on [dead]
Genuine question: Do you think Hinduism and Buddhism are religions? Do you think they serve the purpose of war? How do they do it, if you think so?
ganarajpr··on Scientists use ML to find an antibiotic able to kill superbugs in mice
Thats a very interesting thought. I am not sure evolution can compete with artificial evolution ( ML ). But we never know :). Fingers crossed that ML can always beat evolution.
ganarajpr··on Two Years Ago, India Lacked Fast, Cheap Internet – One Billionaire Changed That
About 5 months or so ago, one of my cousins called me ( video call on whatsapp ) from one of the snow covered mountains in the himalayan range. I know its not the top of mount everest and the place does see a decent tourist traffic, but still I was surprised by the fact that he could do a clear video call from that location. THIS, compared to me, sitting on a train ( not underground! ) just 10 miles away from London and no internet ( or network ) feels very very strange.

That is when I really understood how gamechanging Jio is to India. There is nothing even closely comparable to it anywhere in UK atleast and I believe the same is true for most developed countries.

ganarajpr··on Angular 4.0.0 Now Available
Ummm.. kabes is right. React is an even bigger abstraction on the browser than angular 1 is. Its just that with React the abstractions are mostly opaque - and with Angular the abstractions are not so opaque ( and maybe sometimes leaky! ).
ganarajpr··on Reactotron – CLI and OS X app for inspecting React Native and JS apps
Though off topic. Could you explain a bit more on what you mean by "two way dependency tracking" ? Something along the lines of why that is useful and how ava helps in this would be really helpful.
ganarajpr··on Ask HN: What is the future of back-end development?
Potentially GraphQL.
