Mondragon has lasted 68 years and I believe the USSR had lasted 69 years. Why do you think they will fail in the next year? Also given the speed of advancement has increased in the past 30+ years, it seems like they have kept pace a lot better than the USSR (or it's successor Russia)
Does the Basque region produce more engineers than other areas? I'm guessing their issue is more tied to the demographics of the area they are in and less of the compensation side of things. It's far harder to commit to a coop where your contribution is valued thousands of miles away and you don't have the immediate stake in things (e.g. your bar, bakery, barber, etc)
How did you get the visa and mastercard interchange fees down so low? Just the interchange fees for non debit cards can be as high as 2.5% (premium travel cards for example), not even mentioning Stripe's fee then.
Does that mean I can request all the pictures of myself checking out at Starbucks under the GDPR/CCPA? Has anyone done that yet? If not, any idea why not?
Where can you get jerkey, wine or nut butter for less money than instant noodles? I'm not familiar with the pricing for everything listed, but if I can find those 3 for cup noodle prices, that would be awesome.
Do a lot of states enshrine minimum yellow (and I assume green and red too) times? I figured that wouldn't be part of law but at best a DMV regulation type thing.
Originally I had mentioned that but I think the real driver is the number of lawsuits, do you know if those declined after those legislative fixes? I haven't been able to find any up to date statistics to show that lawsuits are in line with the rest of the country now.
Do you know how much of the increase is due to climate change and how much is due to things like the fact that Florida has 75% of the nation's homeowner insurance lawsuits despite under 10% of claims?
I thought Google purchased things like gigawatts for their data centers on the open market? Can you link to something that shows its bring give to them from the government for free?
Yeah I view different vaults as a way to selectively share access and somewhat organization as opposed to 2 different independent password stores. I can understand the need for your use case and it makes sense. I think the only way to do that with 1Password now would be multiple accounts which makes no sense from a user perspective. It would be nice if they went back to supporting your use case as well.
How does a server via Zoom in the Philippines take the food from the kitchen and put it in your table? I can see cashiers but servers seem like one job that's hard to make remote due to physically having to deliver stuff to a table.
When did they remove the ability to have multiple vaults? I'm assuming this is really recent as I'm currently using it with 2 accounts and each has 5 or 6 vaults in it.
Have those penalties ever been widely implemented? My understanding is most wrong claims just result in the person making the claim say "whoops sorry my bad" and nothing happens.
Can we remove entirely or allocate an equal amount of subsidies to each state in order to compare each experiment on equal grounds? (looking at Alabama and similar states that get more federal funding than they contribute)
Given the numbers cited there it looks like Chinese e-bikes have a fire rate of 0.002391% per year. From a quick search it seems like there were about 130 e-bike fires in NYC in 2022 out of a population of about 65000 e-bikes, so NYC based e-bikes have a failure rate of 0.2% per year which seems significantly worse than the cheap ones used throughout China.
You die and then you don't have to pay back the loan and any capital gains taxes. The assets are marked to market for tax purposes, then the estate can liquidate them to satisfy the debt and the heirs get the remaining assets and can sell with no tax due.
Isn't the raw hair worth $280 but it still needs woven into fibers and then turned into clothing? Definitely not $9k but the vicuna clothes for sale in Peru (not a fancy brand name) are still significantly more expensive than other fiber. I think the cheapest sweaters from baby alpaca in Cusco are about $300.
Why sell assets when you can get a loan against them and the appreciation covers the interest cost? Then you have no taxes to pay and plenty of money to spend.
Sentry produces nothing of value? You don't value an open source error tracking and performance monitoring platform? https://github.com/getsentry/sentry
What recent Boeing planes were originally developed for the military and reused as civilian aircraft? It seems like recent designs (eg the 787) are developed entirely from the needs of airlines.
