News Corp is and always has been free to not have its content on Google (https://www.robotstxt.org/). But that's not what they want, they want a Money just for appearing in search results. Seems more like a rent seeking for News Corp.
> We're bending over backwards to try and accommodate Google
The funny/bizzare bit is we are bending over backwards to accommodate 2 multinational American corporate monopolies that don't even pay tax in this country.
It's a pita, _hopefully_ one day AMD and ROCm will be a viable alternative.

You have to sit exams in person at the end of each semester. There are exam centres all around the world https://exams.csu.edu.au/dist_students/centrelist.php?intern...
that said, you have a point, if tec was from china and/or was more open it would be everywhere.
prepaid = go to quick-e-mart and by recharge/credit when needed. plan = set up payment details through web portal or over the phone.
I'm starting to see it as a loss, the additional time I may put in as overtime is subtracted from time I have for side projects and learning that is far more important to my career (as well as metal / physical health).

There are a million articles on the internet arguing either way. I would start with this one for an interesting angle: https://theconversation.com/from-pests-to-profits-making-kan...
i'm not saying aspi is completely full of it or that there isn't a problem with communist party influence. but aspi is most def aligned to security establishment and hardly impartial.
is it a consumer grade or corporate model?
if your build target is an arm environment (industrial, embeded?) or you are a uni teaching/researching arm isa, then i imagine it would be a pretty nice bit of kit.
there seems to be a spate of similar articles based on the greenpeace/sieara club satellite photo analysis report from september last year.
has any of it been confirmed?
edit: think this is the report ~> https://endcoal.org/global-coal-plant-tracker/reports/boom-a...
Tested Alibaba Cloud in honkers from Shenzhen and Guangzhou late last year for a couple weeks as a Shadow Socks host. Worked really well, <10milsec ping.
That said, its not day to day that i've had probs with Honker <~> Mainland traffic. It's the seemingly random network performance degradation that bites.
i've mainland proxied and cached the hell out of everything i can, warm the caches daily, but once the user starts interacting (eg search) then hitting our servers really bites randomly. usually not so bad for honkers server, but even that route can randomly drop off the face of the planet.
But the specific allegations raised in the "The Big Hack" appear to be without basis.
In my mind it looks more like "Weapons of Mass Destruction" BS that once saturated the media.
That's an absurd and factually incorrect statement.
