I have, for years now. Coming from a former all Windows (and a couple years on an MBP) user, it's perfectly fine. I have a dual boot, so whenever I need windows, I can use it, but it's becoming less and less frequent. Nowadays it's usually only for games.

Reading through this thread though, I'm baffled by some of these issues. I have been using the latest Ubuntu release for the past several years, on a variety of machines (T440s, 2 self-built desktops, a Lenovo Legion) and haven't experienced any problems to the degree others have mentioned. Out of the box support across Intel, AMD cpus, no graphics issues, nothing with scaling or extra monitors, never, on any machine. I did notice one problem when I updated to Ubuntu 20 about six months ago that my left Gsync monitor was acting weird, but I just disabled gsync and it runs perfectly fine. That's it in the past 5 years of using Linux as daily driver.

I work as a software engineer full time so maybe I just don't notice "issues"? As the old saying goes, it works fine on my machine(s).

What would "no gerrymandering" even look like? A pure split of 50/50 outcomes in each district? Equal amounts of party split districts but then wins for metro districts for the state in each election? Exact equal amounts of each demographic split in each district across all features? Would this need to be redone continuously?

The urban/rural divide is a tale as old as Rome and unless the desired outcomes and side effects for "fair" districting are clearly stated it's just a way for the socially accepted (pushed by the media) team to gain an advantage while seeming "fair" (aka our team wins).

I don't think it changes the fact that given enough compute time, there is a "GTO" strategy for imperfect information games like Dota, just as there is for poker. The AI will lose some proportion of games, but overall it'll win.

I think it depends on your drive. I started a new role as a junior right when covid started - was in the office for maybe one week (not exaggerating), then all remote. I was later laid off (also due to covid), but found a new role at a smaller firm - still as junior, still remote - and made my way to a much more senior position in under a year. If you are confident in your skills and abilities and actually try, I think the opportunities are much much better than when we were all in the office. I found I was able to make way more progress working remotely than I ever was in the office. I also don't have children or many distractions at home, so take that as you will. It really just depends on you.

Funnily enough, I thought the script was better than the movie itself. I read the script back in 2014 or something and it was way better than how the movie turned out.

I guess they're reasonable explanations if the sole piece of "evidence" was camera recordings - but they have numerous eyewitnesses for all of these events, including tracking on the associated carriers for some of them, validating the movements. Being outright dismissive because maybe it could be possibly a camera artifact but ignoring multiple trained eyewitnesses and confirmation from other electronic sources makes me think it is not just a camera artifact.

To be honest, I used a Telegram alerts group (Brobot) for 3090s and 5950Xs and was able to get both within a week of trying. There were only a couple opportunities but I managed to get 2x3090s and a 5950x within those windows. It's definitely doable, just very annoying. What still worries me is that ramp up time for fabs like these are on the scale of years - if we assume a fab started right now, we'll be making semiconductors in ~2 years at the earliest (very optimistic)? It seems like the root of the issue seems to be the inventory tax and accounting rules - perhaps an exception for the semiconductor industry would help rather than even a single domestic fab (which could be impacted by natural disasters as well).

TSMC (Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Corporation) is a foreign company that operates entirely overseas - why would the US have authority to tax them? If anything I'd imagine they'd be against this proposal.

How does this compare to Iris? I've seen that pushed more heavily within the finance/wannabe finance community. Otherwise, great product! Love the design! Should consider partnering with the bigger instagram accounts - litquidity, trustfundterry, etc to push it further and get some more adoption.
