Yeah I'm a bit puzzled myself. I can see why developers would be interested, but not so much musicians. As someone who owns a decent amount of hardware synths and Eurorack I know this thing would be gathering dust after a day or two.

It's interesting that a few months ago your sentiment would have been upvoted. I've noticed recently that things seem to be flipping around. Sadly, I think it's inevitable that people will accept a form of communication that consists of people trading slop. Even worse, the author lies about using AI for the writeup in the comments.

It's the auto-moderator. For example, I got my first multi-day ban for quoting this line from the film Commando: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DrsE2Qg50qo

The automod interpreted this as a threat of violence. My appeal was ignored.

Yup, lost a 15 year account for multiple Rule 1 violations. All were either quotes from of a film, or obvious jokes. I got the final perm ban removed on appeal, at least allegedly, but my account remains banned and further appeals are straight up ignored. To add insult to injury, I made the mistake of logging in to an alt account on my phone and then that was banned too for evasion!

Reddit has already become an LLM-ridden cesspool as of late. What do they hope to accomplish by getting rid of long term users and making it difficult to onboard new, actual humans?

Consultants are for decision based evidence making.

Funny how all the Carney glazers seem to be MIA in this thread.

The information needed to build a basic nuclear explosive device is rather easily available. Now go build one.

Because I coincidentally lost access to my main account recently (never put in the e-mail field lol) and had to make a new one. This is the same name with the vowels removed - so not just keyboard-mashed username.

Better to just believe everyone who disagrees with you must be a bot, though.

Century Initiative. Been living under a rock? Go check out who Mark Wiseman is, his relationship to Carney.

Have you ever used a Digitech Whammy pedal? I can definitely notice the latency on that. It's low enough to be playable, but the difference when A/Bing is stark.

Just had a 15 year account get permabanned for repeated auto-moderator false positives. For example, quoting an Arnold Schwarzenegger movie being interpreted as a "call to violence". Most appeals get ignored. The permaban appeal was approved, but the ban remains in place and I can't seem to reach anyone there to look into it.

I was pretty upset at first, but I'm starting to see the positives of no longer being able to comment. I spent way too much time getting worked up over pointless arguments. For whatever reason, Hacker News doesn't seem to produce the same impulse.
