frgbhnmnjh··on Skeptics discount science by casting doubts on scientist expertise
Since it's all old testament stuff, they are teaching Muslim mythology as much as Christian - but really teaching Jewish mythology !

Has anyone told them?

frgbhnmnjh··on The Difficulty of Hiring Women
But the lack of role models is the reason I didn't get that job - it was nothing to do with me not working in school.

It was all somebody else's fault - those damn role models.

Oh, that and 'da-man' keeping me down.

Actually the lack of women in tech is probably because they realize earlier than guys that if they do a psychology degree they only have to study 6hours/week and get to be a manager over all the engineer types.

It's not just EM waves. Billions of sub-atomic neutrinos pass through your unborn baby's body and yet no research has been done to show these are safe.

My special neutrino proof baby wear (made from only natural recycled neutron star cores) will screen out (or about as much as this blocks 10Mhz RF) of this potentially dangerous radiation.

As a bonus the curvature of the light around the super massive corset will also make you look thinner!

frgbhnmnjh··on Future Microsoft tablet to be 'no thicker than sheet of glass'
Of course you wouldn't be able to see the screen for all the stickers saying: "designed for windows glass", "windows home semi-starter- premium edition (bathroom only not kitchen edition)", "intel inside" etc ....

Odd though that people only seem to doubt the evidence when they want to do something!

Don't want to give up smoking, drinking, sugar, driving an SUV or running the AC 24*7 ? Then convince yourself that the scientist are divided on the health benefits/global warming.

I've yet to see somebody say that scientists are divided on general relativity and therefore I don't need to worry about falling off this cliff.

frgbhnmnjh··on Why Isn't the Price of Broadband Obeying Moore's Law?
Although strangely it does seem that the size of hamburgers does follow Moore's law.
frgbhnmnjh··on The Commodore PC64: New Hardware inside the classic C64 form factor
Nobody has seen any pictures of this 'pc in C64 clothing' - and their last attempt was just another crappy pc in a keyboard form factor with the wrong commodore logo on the box.
frgbhnmnjh··on Why Isn't the Price of Broadband Obeying Moore's Law?
Because the cost of digging up sidewalks, laying fiber, installing routers and switches has F* all to do with transistor density?
frgbhnmnjh··on Do We Need a 37-Cent Coin?
Can i suggest splitting the $ into 20 equal parts and then each of those parts into 12cents.

Then you could have 1,2,3,6 cent coins and 1,2,10 part coins.

For anyone that can manage the calculations for feet/inches/yards/miles, drams/ounces/pounds/tons it should be simple.

Not quite in the USA you buy three items that end in 99c, but two of them have state sales tax, one of those has local sales tax and the other has a liquor tax.

SO you can work out the change IF you know the random extra amount that will be added at the checkout
