francov88··on Programming is a Pop Culture
Really interesting article and unique way to look at programming - never really considered it to be part of pop culture, but it is a subset of it's own and becoming more "mainstream" as more and more technology becomes engrained in our everyday life.

Well done!

francov88··on IOS development just got faster.
Paul Graham spoke years ago about the evolution of programming and how the next major shift from HTML style languages would be visual.

Bootstrap started the shift - but this takes it to the next level. Beautiful demo, can't wait to see how this revolutionizes programming and app development.

francov88··on Cost of tools and services used developing Countly: $0
Great post Onur, I didnt know Amazon had a free tier! One of my other preferred tools is Trello.com for visual project management.

Great job with Countly! Would have been great to see the workflow you guys employ between the tools + any specific modifications you might have made for an open source tool/community. Maybe next time?

francov88··on The Story Of Lockitron: Crowdfunding Without Kickstarter
ChrisNorstrom - couldn't have said it better myself. I was going to point out many of the same arguments and showcase that while Kickstarter is a great idea and can wield it's massive brand to potentially attract visitors to your campaign with startups like App.net and Lockitron running their own campaigns, Kickstarter has to be a little worried about how they're trying to solve the problem that is crowdfunding...

francov88··on Bootstrap Maintainers Leave Twitter
All the best two you both. I can say with certainty that many people in the web dev world love BS and are continuing to eagerly await new changes that will come as a result of the moves.

Best of luck at Github, huge win for you both.

francov88··on Scratchpad: Rapid prototyping from UI elements you clip/collect from the web
I agree that based on the CTA you're expecting to go directly into the app, but to be fair that's the bottom CTA (I never saw it as it was below the fold of my screen).

Instead of taking the negative route, you could just tweet about it and ask for early access...

francov88··on Scratchpad: Rapid prototyping from UI elements you clip/collect from the web
