I remember it clearly because that was the first movie I saw exploding arrows. I don’t know if the explosive arrows were made famous in Rambo 3 or in Predator. In any case I watched quite a few reruns of Rambo 3 on TV, and they clearly had that dedicated to mujahideen fighters message in the end credits.
But with this move, they have just crossed a huge threshold. Now it’s clear that we are hurtling into a truly dystopian future where our personal thoughts and experiences are simply not our own. America at least seems to be heading towards some form of corporate fascism that may not be dominated by an individual or a group, but will eventually lead to social ossification and societal decay by outlawing dissent.
To introduce this tech under the disguise of fighting child abuse is just amazing. This will eventually lead to identification of individuals who for example may hold sympathetic views for political views that are currently out of favour.
At some point you have to swallow the inconveniences outside the garden and recognise what this is leading to.
If you’re looking to switch then shouldn’t you be doing your own research? Words like disingenuous reek of fanboyism.
This course of action is primitive in western countries, but understandable in a country where the police to population ratio is around 100 times lower than in the west and only 2% of the working age population pays any taxes.
Self regulation as a course of action is a failure. Companies who want to “grow fast and break stuff” don’t care about riots in a country like India.
Dangers: Indians’ free speech will get trampled. Parties in power will enforce the law in a biased manner as they always have done.
This trade off is acceptable since western companies operating outside their home country only care about profit and don’t operate with any social conscience. It would be utterly foolish to outsource the fight for our rights to them. It is more preferable to have these companies operate within the boundaries of Indian law, no matter what they are.

Also cite, why there needn’t be any arbiters of truth in a democracy. Maybe you have fully embraced the post truth age.
Someone has to be the arbiter of the truth. I’d rather it be courts and some legal process, or even the government rather than some so called “prominent fact checking organisation”.
Making good health, community service and social skills a core requirement to get admission seems like a great idea. Can this also be gamed? Sure. It’s not like the existing criteria are not being gamed by families with a lot more money.
It is futile to complain about how the admission system cuts kids off from society and takes a toll on their health. Fierce competition for scarce resources is inevitable. Sure, the government can do a much better job of spending whatever resources are at hand, but even efficiency can only go so far.
This kind of out of the box thinking is more likely to yield results than pining for ideal situation that simply doesn’t exist.
