Totally agree, and we'll be adding RSS ASAP. It's on the launch day list of to-dos. Thanks for checking it out!

Hey, we're aiming to post several new articles every day. We have an in-house editorial staff (I'm managing editor, former GigaOM writer & editor Darrell Etherington is senior writer) and a group of global contributors.

But we're more focused on quality analytical pieces that press release rewrites - quality over quantity. Thanks for checking it out!

Love this article, mostly for the snark. The first three are literally spot-on - I've signed up for more Launchrock pages in the last few weeks than I can count. I don't advocate being evil, but if it's as tried-and-true a success tactic as coverage on TC...then so be it.

Remember the whole Hipster ordeal? I think sometimes it's a test of how viral a landing page can be.

I've definitely received a few e-mails from startups who have launched since I put my e-mail in on their Launchrock page...but I love his idea to e-mail people once a month to update on progress and ask for feedback/help.

Love the breakdown - "scrappiness and drive" at 35%. To me resourcefulness is #1 - I don't care if someone has the experience, I care that they can go out and figure it out on their own.

Agreed. A launch or redesign might get you a bit of buzz, but it fades away and then you have to work your butt off to sustain the traffic and attention.

Definitely agreed - it's not the key to getting media attention, but it makes it easier. Shouldn't take more than a few hours to put together a press kit. To me a hard copy press kit is more of a launch buzz activity than PR, and also shouldn't take long.
