I know what you mean. When I've suggested targeting a female demographic with things that are somewhat silly, but most women just go crazy over (seen by how many women get into similar thing in several businesses) I was dismissed out of hand.
It's hard to say, since almost all the people I've talked to I have given my current salary range and relative experience first, and I hear there is a big shortage for iPhone development skills in SF and Seattle. The wages I'm being offered is around the average Facebook software engineer wage on glassdoor. So I'm curious as to what the real iPhone software developer price is, and if I'm just falling prey to bad salary negotiation tactics.
Eeehh, when you hear lawyers in the USA say that you better shoot to kill if your going to defend yourself from a home invasion robber, other wise case law will allow that robber to successfully sue you for personal injury and disability, I think something like that would actually work.
There are disadvantages and advantages to politeness. A polite society tends to be more disconnected, less intimate and harder to make friends with in vs. a more intimate, but possibly a bit more "rude" society too:
My compliers professor did. The notes were so extensive though that you didn't really need to look at the book. And it was written by a finn, so the english was a little bit off.
They can, they just charge an arm and a leg for it and make you go through a big hoop and dance to actually use it. Wire transfers cost $20-$40 for each transaction (And usually are associated with systems with such names as "Large Value Transfer System (LVTS)". ACH is usually only allowed with accounts you can prove ownership with and they charge for pushing money into another external account, but usually not for pulling money. Even then they hold the funds for 3-4 business days. It's cheaper and faster to just order paper checks, write them down, give it to a teller or ABM to take the check to deposit into your account than to use ACH or wire transfers. It's even worse in canada. At least US banks have ACH transfers and wire transfers available on their online banking websites! The closest thing is Interac e-transfer. I think it just comes down to liability and fraud risk exposure. A guy who knows your password can clean you out.
People with $100mm could buy their visa by making a unprofitable business and come in on the immigrant investor visa anyway. Or get a US friend to create a company where they have veto powers and come over on an L-1A and get their green card in 2-3 years due to no labor certification or waiting list. And their spouse can work also on a L-2 visa when they apply with him. Someone who has made a $100million could also get an O visa. Your a pretty remarkable person if you've made $100 million.
Also if you have $100 million and don't setup your income to be indirect through companies and such, the USA taxes all international income, even if you've never lived or set foot in the US for years, and has an expat tax if you give up your green card or citizenship explicitly made for rich people. The usa is the only country in the world to do this and makes it unattractive to actually get a citizenship from them if your wealthy. You can still do business and profit from the country quite well without being a citizen and at that level you could do business in the country part time coming in on B-2 visas. The consulate would have no problem giving you a 10 year multiple entry B-2 visa since you have a very very very low illegal immigration risk.
I think the most you can push that rule is repair. If you were not quite satisfied with your apartment because it doesn't have in suite washer/dryer, go and pay an extra $100-$300 a month and get one that does. Get those small things that are cheap, but not really justifiable and reduce your stress level.
France labour laws are pretty bad. It basically shuts out the young because once you hire a french worker, it's hell and high water to fire them. Unemployment is at %9.6 right now and %25 for youth.
I think it's cyclical nature of the sun that people forget and loose their sunglasses enough because they're not needed frequently and have to keep on buying new ones when they do.
Wow, if anything I would feel ebooks would make it more accessible for the blind by being usable in braille readers and text-to-speech! This was a lawsuit that shouldn't of happened.
At one of the colleges I attended, they shutdown the school's course registration/student management system from midnight to about 7 am every day. It was incredibly frustrating at times.
Per capita spending on health care in more sane developed countries in the world is about $4000/yr. To get your so-so full service health care, the sane market price is about $333/month, and in most of those systems, medication isn't covered fully if you have an income. $50-$100 month just doesn't work other than emergency health care. Emergency plans at that price also have clauses like the first $2500 of an accident is deductible free.
