eikeegi··on All grown-ups were once children, but only few of them remember it
The "dishonest read" is a strange accusation. I think I was about 11 or 12 when I read the book and my reaction was - "err, so they just going to keep killing themselves willy-nilly? Well thats a bit dumb". I did like the story though and reread the book later several times, but the suicide bits felt always so weird.
eikeegi··on Silicon Valley misreads science fiction and undermines democracy
I very much doubt that Silicon Valley people actually read the books they talk about.
eikeegi··on Vivaldi Mail 1.0: Email client built into the browser
For the life of me, I am unable to add an account to Vivaldi Mail. I am not 100% sure, but I am guessing that the error is "ReferenceError document is not defined".

Edit: after restarting, the message is "Mail client startup failed. Error: Not yet support for changing primary key".

eikeegi··on Learn the logic of great typography
This site does not teach you anything about "great typography", but rather presents someones personal preferences as such.
eikeegi··on The Russians Fleeing Putin's Wartime Crackdown
Russians have had 20 odd years to do something about their government. I would argue that if you are a citizen of Russia, you are the Putin ally here by letting things go so bad. I understand that NOW it is a lot harder to reform the system or bring about any positive changes. This ship has probably sailed. The Russian people are now reaping what they perhaps not sowed, but have ALLOWED to grow.

You are really not the victim nor others the idiots. The world just is having a bit courage to show what they feel about Russia. To put it nicely - Russia has so far been tolerated.

I'm slightly puzzled by the phrase "Estonian company, no less" (I am an Estonian myself).

No one cares what you say eh? Try posting something controversial and see how that works out for you.
eikeegi··on Hone your tone of voice: A linguistic perspective on how to talk to customers
In the cultural context where I come from (Estonia), using ones name while NOT being friends is a sure way to sound very passive aggressive. Doing this in a formal dialogue pretty much guarantees that the person on the receiving end will consider the other party to be very much a dick. I am pretty sure that it's not just Estonia, but Finland too.
