netflix is just trash, half the shows or more push the woke agenda, whenever two males get near each other i just know they'll some how magically both be gay. there is nothing creative and are falling into the disney problem.
now i think netflix shines with the foreign films, i've been enjoying those more then the american films, but that doesnt justify paying the monthly fee.
I'm not really into the details like this post was, I liked the cfl bulbs bright white. I've been trying to find bulbs like that color in the led space. My go to is the home Depot branded led that have the coils in them, and I try to do bright white. They cost more then what the cfl bulbs did which sucks. The led lights also seem to not last as long, but I do think it's been getting better. I do have two wifi wiz bulbs and they have not died, been with them for 3 years. I say bring back the spiral bulbs and let the consumers choose.
My go to for shopping is amazon -> walmart (in store only lookup) -> then local stores. And it depends on what i want, if i need a guarantee its a legit item, then i'll go to the vendor site and look up where they sell the product and get a direct link, or if its tech related and i need a guarantee then bestbuy or whatever the vendor says is their link to buy. I do walmart for price comparison and convenience, i live really close to a walmart. Amazon is like other have said more like aliexpress these days, my returns this past few year have gone way up because the items either break quickly or were garbage out of the box.
I got one of these, i bought a kids alarm clock for my daughter, it works really well, good quality. I did cash in the gift card. Why not? now if it was some crap product, i would report the bribe.
Besides being pulled from streaming, what if they altered the movie or show, to add on to it or censorship past views to fit modern views. I don't like original content being altered, especially the original star wars. :)
i almost went that route, i really like the email to kindle and also wanted the oasis features which i think kobo does now. I dont like throwing money at amazon, it needs some competition.
Meh, I really like project based and not exams, but it depends on the subject of the class. Sure exams could be a do at your own pace study. But couldn't projects be the same way?
I dont think they do anything to the bun. My kid has a sesame allergy, its pretty dumb when you pick up something, read sesame and you wonder why, we are seriously struggling finding hamburger buns at the grocery store that do not contain sesame - after this new federal law change to include sesame. They have a seed flavor but seriously could get that from another type of seed. Luckily he doesnt have a sever reaction only irritates his tongue and throat a little. very minor.
minimal ads, a waiting list that you had to be invited to so it made it cool if you had a gmail email, boasting about unlimited storage for email (big deal back then), the better web mail interface.
This, im still using a jetbrains php 2017...i don't really do stuff in PHP anymore but i have a couple old projects where i used it and just maintain them in phpstorm and its still working great. If i was still doing PHP i would easily upgrade it. Its the better model for software.
I'll stick with unsigned integers on the server side and I use uuid's for when it's facing a client, example a link, /page/view/<uuid> just makes sense.
I've always liked how spotify's mobile app and web/desktop app work together. I get on Spotify here and there (unpaid) to see if things have improved over the years, not much has changed...
I used to do the ipod thing with winamp back in napster days, then i kept a personal library just of cds i've bought, then i tried the subsonic thing i really liked dsub app for android. It was great but i really dont want to do server stuff at home...metadata on discs and bringing it over to digital audio, its never perfect and bugs me to where i'll spend hours cleaning it up...
I've been using Youtube music/Google music for many years, abandoned my digital files and i find a lot of my music on youtube and recommendations on YTM. I usually pick the bands im into and they have similar artists and drill down that way, im not a huge fan of auto discovery playlists.
YTM are going to be raising their rates, i pay for family premium, $15 -> $22/mo in april for me. So now im looking at alternatives and trying to avoid running a server and/or managing files. I think YTM has more music because of the youtube side but the client side UI sucks.
fun times, pizza, soda, my mom thinking what a bunch of nerds, while we played against each other or sharing mp3s and games into the night and next day. When steam came out, we started going to internet cafe's, they had better machines (had some friends that didnt have much) and didnt cost much to play for a couple hours. I miss those times, things were simpler.
Currently use confluence at work, trying to find a replacement, this almost does it. Need a way during meeting notes to assign tasks in the document as part of the notes. We also review prior current tasks before we start the new meeting.
We do the same thing, loud noises, quiet dialogues and im constantly adjusting the sound. I've tried the audio settings where you can normalize or do night mode, it just doesn't work well. I have kids trying to sleep. We recently started hooking up a bluetooth speaker that sits between us and on loud scenes we just flip it down into the couch. We both try to work on stuff while watching so subtitles isn't something we can just turn on.
I needed this two years ago, i was looking at this but couldn't figure out how to do it with a existing db connection pool to reuse connections. I might be migrating to this soon so that things will be more isolated from the tenants.
