eam··on Break Free From CSS Prefix Hell
I use Compass(http://compass-style.org) but that pretty much runs on SASS.
eam··on An Intern Guide to a Summer in the Bay Area
You mentioned mission burritos, by any chance did you stop at El Farolito (Mission/24th), love that place!
eam··on 1 year on, Hipmunk (YC S10) hits 1 million flight + hotel searches a month
Just booked my first plane flight ever 1 week ago using hipmunk. Took me about 5 minutes to do so.
eam··on Science Exchange (YC S11): A Central Database For Core Research Facilities
We actually have two formats, one is called Standard Zombs (standard tasks) which is bid-based just like ScienceExchange. The other is called Bounty Zombs (Q&A's) similar to http://prizes.org/ format. If you go to http://zombal.com/scientific-challenges as you pointed out you can filter out the different types.
eam··on Science Exchange (YC S11): A Central Database For Core Research Facilities
We actually launched a very similar website with the same goal earlier this year which is cool because it validates our idea. Works almost the same way! http://zombal.com/
eam··on The Batman Equation
Discussion for this is on http://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=2825402

Also on http://math.stackexchange.com/questions/54506/is-this-batman...

eam··on Show HN: iPhone word game I created in 5 days - Word Fever
There is dictionary it probably checks against. In example: http://www.calvin.edu/~rpruim/scrabble/ospd3.txt
eam··on Can we clone extinct animals?
This question was posted on Zombal, but I would like to see some of the HN community's answers.
eam··on Google: Changes Coming To G+ This Week
Yes, I think you're right. Google just needs to integrate it better with gmail, possibly add a mail icon on the users' page and when clicked the user can be taken into the gmail interface.
eam··on Poll: Do you use browse the web from the toilet
I actually usually read HN from the toilet. ;)
eam··on Hover.com: we store & email passwords in plaintext for usability
>Very quickly, our customer service team was inundated by requests from people that weren’t receiving the email, found the process confusing, and a myriad of other related requests.

Wait a second, so customers wont receive an email with a password reset link, yet they'll receive an email with a plain text password? I guess it's possible, but interesting.

eam··on Dashes vs. underscores
Which is in Matt Cutt's URL --> http://www.mattcutts.com/blog/dashes-vs-underscores/ so the answer is dashes.
eam··on Rate our startup: getdenso.com (It's TiVo/Instapaper for web video)
Sometimes when I'm on my iPhone there are videos that I want to really see, but can't because they're not playable on it for different reasons. I then forget about them. So maybe something like this for mobile phones would be cool.
eam··on Ask HN: Where can I find Web Developers / SEO Experts to hire?
Well sometimes there are guys near your area. I think you can filter it by location. You can also post on Craigslist.
eam··on Ask HN: Where can I find Web Developers / SEO Experts to hire?
Sometimes I freelance on oDesk.com. So you might check that out.
eam··on Redesign.techcrunch.com
Will this be the new design for TC? I hope note because the header section is pretty ugly.
eam··on ASK HN: Can any of you solve this?
I agree, I don't think it's exactly 50%, should be less. Here's a simple drawing: http://zombal-zomb.s3.amazonaws.com/70/earth.png
eam··on ASK HN: Can any of you solve this?
I was driving the other day, having lots of time to think, I wondered what percentage of the entire sky was I looking at.
eam··on Ask HN: Do you still go through all the extra work to support IE6?
That's the routine I take on most of the time. Thanks for the assurance.
eam··on Poll: Display points on comments?
How about if points are hidden for the first 2 hours or so after a story is submitted? This way initially there wont be any bias on the comments, and eventually we can see the comments that are the most meaningful.
eam··on Debate: What’s the Reason For MySpace’s Decline?
I also think what slowly killed it was the entire "radical" redesign. Read some of the comments left on Tom's page here http://www.facebook.com/myspacetom and here http://www.myspace.com/tom not many happy campers.

eam··on How to hide Ryanair
While we're at it, Dustin Curtis should suggest a site re-design for Ryanair and blog about it to feel the full effect. ;)

A bit off-topic, but I just visited American Airlines site and realized that they have updated it. In reference to http://www.dustincurtis.com/dear_american_airlines.html.

eam··on Ask HN: Anyone have a really smart way to organize css?
I prefer the latter. It's more readable IMO. If file size is an issue, I just use a CSS compressor. Also, it's not too hard in finding selectors, most IDE's or text editors have a "Find" command to locate a selector. That's my 2 cents.
eam··on I think tumblr has a huge security hole
I believe the way to do it "correctly" would be to put the actual file containing the credentials in a non-public location and just do an include where you need to access it. At least that's how I do it. I could be wrong...
eam··on "Aristo" for jQuery UI
Yes, of course. I said similar not identical. :)
eam··on "Aristo" for jQuery UI
Similar behavior between them is expected, both are based on webkit.
eam··on Ask HN: sideproject, generating revenue & profit what's next?
Well if you don't think you can do it yourself maybe look for funding to hire some help? Did you get a change to read this today? http://www.ycombinator.com/imaginek12.html
