dschep··on CoreOS Linux Is Now Container Linux by CoreOS
I suspect many already do that. From experience, it's still easier to develop on and deploy to the same container host OS. Ie: Docker on Ubuntu for both is best. You'd be hard pressed to do development on CoreOS/Container Linux.

Can it handle the fancy ligatures[0] that LaTeX creates?

Zappa is for deploying WSGI apps, there are tons of existing WSGI servers out there[0][1][2][3] ;)

It goes the other way too. Isn't boto now the official python AWS library?

dschep··on Ntfy: A utility for sending notifications
That was my Nexus 5x. The computer was a VM tho.
dschep··on Ntfy: A utility for sending notifications
I ran into this the other day but had trouble getting the server to run: https://f-droid.org/repository/browse/?fdfilter=notification...
dschep··on Ntfy: A utility for sending notifications
Yup! I'll review it when I'm not sleepy :)
dschep··on Ntfy: A utility for sending notifications
How so? It runs on Mac OS, Linux and Windows.
dschep··on Ntfy: A utility for sending notifications
Bingo
dschep··on Ntfy: A utility for sending notifications
I didn't. Recorded videos on both the phone and the computer(a VM actually), then put it together with.. I don't remember what. Some video editor available in the Ubuntu repos.
dschep··on Ntfy: A utility for sending notifications
This the first I've heard of noti, looks cool tho.

Ntfy does many of these things too, for example A coworker had suggested the PID option so it has that too :)

I mostly use the shell-integration that automatically sends notifications for commands taking longer than 10 seconds (if the terminal isn't focused).

dschep··on Apple launches coding camps for kids in its retail stores
Microsoft already does one day events in their stores. My SO who's an elementary school teacher took her class to one of them.
dschep··on Ask HN: How do you install developer tools on a fresh system?
I use ansible: https://github.com/dschep/box

Also, it's counter to basic english/etymology. Narcotics are drugs with sleep-inducing properties. Easy way to remmber that: it's the same base as narcolepsy.

If the "getting a notification when a long-running job finishes" part of the shell integration interests you, but you're not a Mac user or want notifications from a remote host, check out my side project http://ntfy.readthedocs.io/

That depends on what version of G+ you're using, what he stated was true for me until I "upgraded" to the new G+.

Can't you just use Transmission on windows? It's a GTK app and they're better on Windows than MacOS. Or you can always use it's web interface on Windows.
dschep··on We Need a Better PC
I actually intentionally got the "900p" lowres version (also matte) because I didn't feel like dealing with HiDPI support. I _love_ the click pad. 3 finger click (for middle click) is a million times more reliable than 3 finger tap in my experience.
dschep··on Show HN: Linenoise NG – GNU Readline Replacement, with UTF8 and Windows (BSD)
Was that a typo? I've never heard of deadline and that's a pretty un-google-able word. GNU Readline has Emacs & Vi mode.
