Those having trouble reading, try copying the title into a web search and going direct from there and/or using incognito mode.
drussell··on Show HN: Learn Swift
This is very helpful. Thanks for sharing! Great that it's free too :)
drussell··on What it takes to be as great as Elon Musk – by Justine Musk
Good article - but I think it already hit the front page yesterday.
drussell··on The Intelligent Life of the City Raccoon
Can't say the same about pigeons though. I swear cities make them dumber.
drussell··on Four ways Ubiquiti Networks is creatively violating the GPL
My bad - usually the submission bot catches links that have already been submitted.
drussell··on Google averages a meeting with the White House every week
It looks an awful lot like paying the piper. But I agree that it's not good form to draw conclusions without context.
drussell··on Comcast doubles Google Fiber with 2Gbps symmetrical fiber service
I'm just always suspicious of Comcast
drussell··on The F-35's $400k helmet

April Fools?
drussell··on SeatGeek Raises $62M
Congratulations! That's big time. I think just in time too. I have a feeling (as do others) that valuations may start declining soon to try and head off a bubble. Peak market is now! Perfect timing if you ask me - congrats again.

Bureaucracy and entrenchment get in the way of that though.

drussell··on Ghost Call – Secure, Encrypted, Anonymous Calling
Anonymity is quite the growing market segment. And the NSA is as unpopular as ever.

It's fascinating how the public responds to the government.

drussell··on $149 Chromebooks
Cell phones could only be afforded by the wealthy in the 80s. Now the cell phone market in developing countries is burgeoning. Soon, there will be a substantial laptop market in most developing countries as well as prices continue to decline.
drussell··on After Snowden, the NSA Faces Recruitment Challenge
Snowden and the fact that two people tried to attack the NSA yesterday. NSA does not seem to be a very popular choice at the moment.
drussell··on The founding story of SanDisk
Agreed - the barriers to entry are so much lower than they used to be. I think, overall, it's a good thing, but the companies that have to really grind to get where they are usually end up in a better position I think.
drussell··on Super Mario 64 HD
What a great game. Anything that inspired the Half-Life games is good in my book.
