If you are protesting SOCIETY at work, I encourage you to leave the building.
The office is not your church.
If there are specific policies at work that effect you (meaningfully, not tangentially) by all means seek to change them.
If you just want to wear your woke flair and bring all general outside politics inside…get a hobby, start a religion, join a movement…leave the rest of us alone.
Twitter is just a raw society fire hose and I'm fine with that. I think the future is to give SUPER clear power to individuals to manage their own experience. Freedom of speech is both the right to speak, but also the right of the listener to hear (or not hear) as an individual.
I would also love to see twitter evolve to become more substack-ish where communities are more "owned" and moderation is delegated to communities to determine rules based on trust and shared goals vs. just blanket twitter safetytism.
They also essentially created the welfare state…
They were and are pretty bad on effective drug policy.
LGB discourse went off the rails when progressives added all the other letters. To be fair, it’s not just boomers who are deeply concerned with the political religion of queerness.
I don’t have under 65 evidence, but this study released recently for 65+ should make everyone question what it looks like to live with this virus going forward.
By all means, prove it out…but it’s a complete delusion to start with the shot vs. the virus.
Joe Rogan facilitates discussion with interesting people and not much more. Mainstream news has done just about as poorly as it could have reporting facts, unknowns, and probabilities with Covid...as the anointed truthsayers, they most definitely created a vacuum by dismissing credible questions and skepticism (lab leak, mask effectiveness, how to think about vaccines long term). And they have been eager to bless the opinions of those who have been far too optimistic https://youtu.be/_FvWnlIEHVo
There is no way we just deplatform or content moderate our way out of honestly misguided information like Malone and McCullough. Misinformation and disinformation cannot include people who are trying in good faith to present a pov that happens to just be just wrong…at some point in time that would include…everyone.

Do you really want to roll the dice on an infection and long term consequences including permanent loss of smell (and taste)?
If this virus killed exactly no one but it just commonly removed one of your senses…is that not motivation enough to avoid it?
Additionally, I just got over a two week adenovirus infection and it absolutely sucked. Not the sickest I’ve been, but the most symptoms and the longest. Why would anyone want to be sick if they could avoid it?
The risk from the third shot is essentially immaterial to a healthy adult. The risk of the viral infection is somewhere between a shitty couple of weeks to permanent life altering symptoms.
Should they not run this type of experiment and make a useful and true recommendation to the public? Would that be a better more pure scenario for you?
That doesn’t mean you have to, but it shouldn’t be surprising that it’s widely considered normal.
About six months ago I herniated a disc pretty severely in my lower back. Initially totally messed up my sleep with real pain…then the pain turned to annoyance and just caused me to wake up frequently and have a tough time ignoring and going to bed. And eventually the pain went away all together…but what was left was a major sleep problem. Couldn’t go to sleep, couldn’t stay asleep. And I have been a perfect sleep through the night sleeper my whole life. Was super rough.
Benzos didn’t really help. But what did was sleep restriction. I must have totally obliterated my circadian rather over months of dealing with the back pain.
So I set hard 6 hour sleep time every night. In bed at 1:30am. Out of bed 7am. Even if you don’t sleep a wink. Up same time. Then immediately go outside and stand in the bright sun. Spend zero time in the bedroom other than to go to bed. Rinse repeat. First couple days were brutal…but then it started to come back. I was tired again at night. My body was begging to sleep. And getting up in the morning got hard. And after two weeks…added 15 min. Earlier bed time. Two more weeks…15 more minutes. Two months later and im totally back to normal.
You can look at what is measured in CPI and how it’s measured. You can have a conversation about whether that’s the most precise way to measure inflation etc. but just waving your hands about your “lived experience” and making allusions to a conspiratorial “they” doesn’t pass for analysis.
Show your work. What is the motive here for the “Fed and U.S. government are rigging our economic system to backdoor tax the middle class while gaslighting all of us into thinking that this is normal”? How do they do it? What’s in it for them? I’m genuinely curious how you get there from looking at CPI.
I don’t get how anecdotal evidence trumps repeatedly buying and measuring the cost of a vast cross section of products everyday people consume?
Help me understand the conspiracy here? Who is doing the rigging and how?
