doubleorseven··on Show HN: AI search for every photo and every frame of video on macOS
how long does it takes for a FHD 90 minutes asset?
doubleorseven··on Portal by Spotify cut my Claude Code token usage by 90%
i remember in 2015 when vaadin change some architecture things and introduced changes to the ui grid and other components like they didn't just reinvented dotnet framework 4 but for java.

fable already calls subagents (hoping not opus), so i don't really see the gain here

doubleorseven··on GUIs should be fully keyboard-driven
this is absolutely not true since December 2025. the amount of "nice to have" items I've been commanding LLM to develop is a dream come true.

while being better at QAing i finally get the time to work on the things that got me into programming in the first place, which in the point where human interact with the machine.

doubleorseven··on Working with AI feels more like leadership than coding
yes coding is dead but i like having less rounds with QA and more "nice to have" juice in my projects .

i feel that what i miss the most is not the coding it self but the effort i used to put in to it. no effort no dopamine no happy.

since i got into the coding because it's a tool to solve problems, and now i have a better tool to solve the same problems, this is what im working on reclaiming, the effort part.

doubleorseven··on "Code was never the hard part" is an insult to all programmers
I always said programming is 80% thinking and only 20% coding.

nothing has changed since then.

doubleorseven··on Flux 3
video is just a group of images (GOP) if the gist is what you're after
doubleorseven··on Flux 3 X Mimic: The Next Generation of Video-Action Models
this is the future. but also the present.

if you know some one out of the software development/engineering worlds, please forward this to them

doubleorseven··on Show HN: Opening lines of famous literary works
should i do it? im looking for the "The Day Lasts More Than a Hundred Years" opening lines
doubleorseven··on Zuckerberg says AI agent development going slower than expected
- Whether or not his opinion is correct, tech CEOs are notorious trend-chasers, and his opinion could set the tone for other companies

exactly why I won't listen to someone who is falling behind.

doubleorseven··on Half-Baked Product
oh yes, the two dishwashers solution
doubleorseven··on Half-Baked Product
the real problem with home dishwasher is that it extend the duration of the task.

the task is prepare food, eat, clean. when you leave the kitchen and come back the next day the task is now different, its unpack, prepare, eat, clean.

you are constantly not finishing today's tasks. it lives to see another day. if you can fix it, bound it to the workflow, you will be a billionaire

doubleorseven··on Amateur may have cracked Linear A
crossing my fingers for this guy.

however, nawaya or what ever examples around it are not part of the Hebrew language.

doubleorseven··on A backdoor in a LinkedIn job offer
nice! i fell for it..
doubleorseven··on Amazon CEO's talks with U.S. officials triggered crackdown on Anthropic models
they figured out taking fable off plans at 22/6 was a bad idea business wise so they maneuvered
doubleorseven··on Gemini 3.5 Flash
My guess will be because this is just software that don't understand how the world works and it's only trying to please?idk maybe im wrong
doubleorseven··on I run multiple $10K MRR companies on a $20/month tech stack
everytime i want to put something in my dishwasher i pray to god it's not full and clean. same with OVH, prayer-wise.
doubleorseven··on The cult of vibe coding is insane
I vibe code. but I also remember the days I had ZERO KNOWLEDGE of what needs to be done, and I would hammer the keyboard with garbage code from stack overflow and half baked documentations plus some native guessing of human nature. the end result was me understanding what the hell was going on. those days are over.
doubleorseven··on The cult of vibe coding is insane
"figure out which category each one belongs in, port the ones that are in the wrong type, and for the ones that are both, read through both versions and consolidate them into one document with the best of both.”

memory created!

doubleorseven··on guys why does armenian completely break Claude
claude fails on RTL like im using IE 6. falling back to my free chatgpt account everytime i want to write in my own language
doubleorseven··on I dumped Windows 11 for Linux, and you should too
let me know when you can run visual studio, the best IDE in the world, on Linux, and I wont flinch
doubleorseven··on Opus 4.5 is not the normal AI agent experience that I have had thus far
usually for me, after a good plan is 90% solid working code. the problem do arise when you ask it to change the colors it choose of light grey text over a white background. this thing still can't see and it's a huge drawback for those who got used to just prompting away their problems
doubleorseven··on Show HN: Gemini Pro 3 imagines the HN front page 10 years from now
it forgot the "who is still hiring and why" section. also the immigration attorney is still needed since climate change is a real thing
doubleorseven··on Show HN: Boing
maybe also de-boing the boining now that it's calling the server. i think the js script pasted here will show you it's needed
doubleorseven··on The evolution of Lua, continued [pdf]
if Lua had zero-based indexing it won't be Lua. also removing '.length - 1' globally will reduce gas emissions by 1% worldwide (my guess)
doubleorseven··on Microsoft blocks Israel’s use of its tech in mass surveillance of Palestinians
it's a jing jang thing. soon there will be some one else who will be a tastier roast. but as an Israeli im really impressed they were able to use so much compute before someone checked their activity report. I mean this was not just parking space they were using, stakes were high! it's 2025 and (still) money talks.
doubleorseven··on We all dodged a bullet
i fell for this malware once. had the malware on my laptop even with mb in the background. i copy paste and address and didn't even check it. my bad indeed. those guys makes a lot of money from this "one shot" moments
doubleorseven··on Stripe Launches L1 Blockchain: Tempo
stablecoins are not for crime actually, it's like the bank of the criminals. for crime you would want to mix your stablecoins to btc or xmr, probably the latter.
doubleorseven··on The unbearable slowness of AI coding
I've never done QA. Just thinking about doing QA makes my head swirl. But yes, because of LLMs I am now a part time QA engineer, and I think that it's kinda helping me be a better developer. Im working on a massive feature at work, something I can't just give to an agent and I already feel like something changed in how I think about every little piece of code im adding. didn't see that coming.
doubleorseven··on SimpleW – Web Server Library .NET Core
seems like the author didn't like the obvious or alternative solutions out there, and went and created one of his own. i know some people who use their own web server, this is an on going adventure for sure.
doubleorseven··on Fast
I once accidentally blocked TCP on my laptop and found out "google.com" runs on UDP, it was a nice surprise.

baba is fast.

I sometimes get calls like "You used to manage a server 6 years ago and we have an issue now" so I always tell the other person "type 'alias' and read me the output", this is how I can tell if this is really a server I used to work on.

fast is my copilot.
