doctormanhatten··on TypeScript is surprisingly ok for compilers
Having written quite a lot of Reason react (similar in syntax to the proposed React example) - while in this particular case because the example is so simple the ternary looks nicer, its also nice to just have a longer expression block in the middle of your JSX when you're doing more complex things.

I don't know about you but I trust Wikipedia a lot more than I trust ChatGPT.

doctormanhatten··on How to spot cult leader personalities
I feel like this is something where everyone does it to some extent I don't know. To me it makes more sense to focus on propensity towards behaviors that you find undesirable rather than labelling someone a bad name.
doctormanhatten··on “Forbidden-word” lists are a symptom of administrative bloat
The central point of the article seems dubious to me. It seems more likely that administrators are simply in charge of implementing these lists. This is of course their job. However it seems likely that the central political impetus for their doing so lies elsewhere. E.g. faculty heads or university leadership.

I also struggle to see the harm of such lists personally.
