diryawish··on The continuing "Q collar" scandal
Incredible quote, such great context. No wonder people trust the science so much.
diryawish··on Times New Roman is being phased out at the State Department, replaced by Calibri
Not for the bureaucrats at the state department.
diryawish··on Cannabinoids Block Cellular Entry of SARS-CoV-2 and the Emerging Variants
I've noticed a correlation between heavy herb smokers and not getting the virus or having mild symptoms. People that primarily do hash haven't had the same benefit, which is kind of weird. This is all anecdotal.
diryawish··on Winamp source code leak
Snipped it.
diryawish··on Texas Electric Bills Were $28B Higher Under Deregulation
Is there a way to read past the paywall?
diryawish··on Leaked memos Amazon warn 'be vigilant' due to threats to blow up data centers
The right sees post-BLM riots which have led to numerous deaths and millions in damage and Antifa running amok in the Pacific Northwest and think the same thing.

We are too divided and it’s because of the media, both social and mainstream.

diryawish··on Amazon, Apple and Google Cut Off Parler
Exactly and it’s unacceptable that it wasn’t. Who is to blame?
diryawish··on Amazon, Apple and Google Cut Off Parler
I ask because it makes you think and hopefully prevent overreaction. Banning apps because of extremists and poor police presence is stupid. I think these people should have been treated the same as the second day of protest where Capitol police were stationed outside after the church was set on fire. There was a lot more time to plan for these event as it was less spontaneous and had many hundreds of thousands planning attendance. I think not having a bigger police presence was pathetic and it was likely political.
diryawish··on Amazon, Apple and Google Cut Off Parler
What was your opinion on the BLM protests outside of the White House ?
diryawish··on Amazon, Apple and Google Cut Off Parler
“Coward and a traitor.” Is that an actual quote or are you editorializing?
diryawish··on The fraying of the U.S. global currency reserve system
Very well put - efficient and diligent deregulation would be a great thing to see.
diryawish··on Silicon Valley’s Vast Data Collection Should Worry You More Than TikTok
The US absolutely has the moral high ground compared to any communist country and it’s not even fucking close.
diryawish··on Stockholm Won't Reach Herd Immunity in May, Sweden's Chief Epidemiologist Says
Mistakes in elderly care appear to be the main driver of high death rates.
diryawish··on Universa tail fund returned 3,600% in March
“ Spitznagel included a chart in his letter showing that a portfolio invested 96.7% in the S&P 500 and 3.3% in Universa’s fund would have been unscathed in March, a month in which the U.S. equity benchmark fell 12.4%. The same portfolio would have produced a compounded return of 11.5% a year since March of 2008 versus 7.9% for the index.”
diryawish··on Apple aims to sell Macs with its own chips starting in 2021
A MacBook Air with a touchscreen would be a nice introduction to these chips.
diryawish··on Coronavirus and Credibility
Isn’t all flu growth exponential over the season then dies down? Apparently Australia had a bad flu season last year: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7148553/Horror-grap...
diryawish··on Coronavirus and Credibility
Italy’s death rates are up 20% when comparing this year’s average to a typical year’s whole average. This way of comparing averages may skew the information. In America, we have more average daily deaths in the beginning of the year than in the middle and end until December. The average of January through March will always be higher than the yearly average.
diryawish··on Who Was Sun Tzu’s Napoleon?
Calling reasonable inference pseudoscience while assuming to read the minds of men 2000 years ago and claim misogynic inspiration for their actions is such a fucking joke.
diryawish··on Slave markets found on Instagram and other apps
Since you're implying otherwise, this article doesn't talk about getting rid of anything. It just describes part of the horrible slave market that has extended into modern technology.
diryawish··on Slave markets found on Instagram and other apps
This article doesn't blame the tech companies for these problems much like no one blames hammers for murders committed with them.
diryawish··on Cabin releases 2nd-gen fleet of sleeper bus from SF to LA and back
Check out Amtrak's Coast Starlight https://www.amtrak.com/coast-starlight-train
diryawish··on US 'launched cyber-attack on Iran weapons systems'
The article does not say that they provided us with evidence of weapons of mass destruction at all. It says their internal assessment was based on speculation, not whatever you're trying to imply. Also:

"The committee also found that Israeli intelligence did not intentionally mislead Israeli officials about prewar Iraq’s WMD capabilities, nor was there an attempt to push the United States into invading Iraq, AP reported."

diryawish··on Armchair Investigators at Front of British Inquiry into Spy Poisoning
I realized how ridiculous it was after a few articles. Gives further credence to the disinformation accusations.
diryawish··on Armchair Investigators at Front of British Inquiry into Spy Poisoning
I didn't know about that rumor regarding Putin. Can you give me a link to read?
diryawish··on Ibuprofen alters human testicular physiology
How sufficient is a sample size of 31 healthy white men?
diryawish··on Intel CEO leaves American Manufacturing Council
Very good post. Makes me realize how much time I've wasted reading 'news' that is designed to make you feel angry or frustrated.
diryawish··on Intel CEO leaves American Manufacturing Council
Fair enough. But calling the current president a Nazi is not moderate. Israel would not treat him the way they do if he was. A post-WW2 Nazi or similar party is impossible and unsustainable especially in the US and most EU countries. Erdogan is the closest leader in the world at this point.
diryawish··on Intel CEO leaves American Manufacturing Council
I take that back; Kasich was the most moderate. He also had very little charisma, unfortunately. He could have been a perfect VP for this administration if the two could get along.

Trump was typically more moderate on the economy and tax policy, abortion, military. His stance on immigration is the more conservative than the rest. Rubio and most of the rest were very strict on abortion, had typical Republican ideas on tax, support interventionist military campaigns, but had varying but less conservative stances on immigration. Although Trump's behavior was boorish and comedic at times, that appeals to Americans and gets you media exposure. Just like the coolness of Obama and Bill Clinton.

If the DNC didn't engage in shenanigans, wouldn't the Democratic demagogue have had a much better chance at winning than Hillary?

diryawish··on Intel CEO leaves American Manufacturing Council
Calling the president a Nazi isn't a moderate position.
diryawish··on Intel CEO leaves American Manufacturing Council
Trump was the most moderate Republican candidate.
