dikaio··on 'Uber for nurses' exposes 86K+ medical records, PII via open S3 bucket
Would be surprised if this company makes it out of this. Medical records…. Yikes
dikaio··on TSMC expected to announce $100B investment in U.S.
Are you implying Brexit and Trumps second term is due to propaganda?
dikaio··on Show HN: Mastra – Open-source JS agent framework, by the developers of Gatsby
Got excited, was hoping to see a repository of Go Agents.
dikaio··on Tesla sales dropped 60% in Germany
Personally, I like AI photos but I understand the point you’re making.
dikaio··on FTC takes action against GoDaddy for alleged lax data security
They should be looking into them for buying up all the competitors in domain selling. The bought two of the biggest competitors Dan.com and unregistery. Dan.com charge 9% on a sale of a domain now godaddy is charging 30%. Completely different company since Bob Parsons sold to a couple private equity firms.
dikaio··on X isn't important enough to feel the full force of EU regulation
More like, avoid extreme legislation by extreme inept politicians.
dikaio··on X isn't important enough to feel the full force of EU regulation
yes X wouldn’t want the “full force of EU” regulation. Ok.
dikaio··on Cloudflare Partners with CrowdStrike
Looked at my calendar to see if it was April 1st when I saw this blog post. Why in the world would CloudFlare partner with CrowdStrike unless the same CIA team thats running CrowdStrike has their hand in CloudFlare...
dikaio··on Call it the Tijuana two-step: How Chinese goods dodge American tariffs
The companies in the US that know they’re doing this should be boycotted, sophenad by congress, and investigated by the FBI.

Biggest culprit, Amazon.

dikaio··on Peter Thiel Turned a Roth IRA into a $5B Tax-Free Piggy Bank (2021)
I’m upvoting this post simply for the amount of effort put into the article, I wish most articles were written with the same effort as this one. In saying that, I don’t think Thirl did anything wrong, Americans should take note and do as he and the other investors listed in this article do instead of trying to make them out like some type of villains.
dikaio··on Boeing whistleblower found dead in US
Upvote for the “also also” statement

dikaio··on Show HN: HyperFast, a React Native starter kit. Idea to app store in a week.
edit: typo

Looks cool. As someone who buys these things it always helps to maybe include a full working demo. IMHO I would offer a kitchen sink demo and remove the 7 day money back guarantee.

dikaio··on FinCEN proposes new rule for residential real estate held in trusts or LLCs
sigh. It has nothing to do with hiding and everything to do with protecting ones assets. My guess is you either have no children or little in assets; if you happen to have either and mean what you've written above I would suggest educating yourself on the matter before writing comments like you have. Good luck.
dikaio··on How to Sue Amazon
lol I'm with you.
dikaio··on How to Sue Amazon
I agree with you but it's not so much with the idea of me winning, it's more in the hopes of the EU requiring Amazon to properly label where a product is made or where its coming from. Ebay does it and other big name businesses I don't know why Amazon should be exempt from this. I understand the large majority of items on Amazon likely come from China but I would personally prefer to buy products made from US, EU, CA, MX KR, JP etc. Amazon purposly hides this information from us.
dikaio··on Huawei's offices in France raided by financial prosecutors
So in other words, propaganda lite.
dikaio··on Huawei's offices in France raided by financial prosecutors
Not only Europe but all Western countries. Not just Huawei but all Chinese companies that have stolen IP.
dikaio··on FinCEN proposes new rule for residential real estate held in trusts or LLCs
You are either sorely misinformed or highly inept on the subject.

[edit] to provide clarity. Holding assets in trusts or LLCs has nothing to do with doing anything illegal, and you will find politicians, people working in 3 letter agencies etc all do the same, we all pay taxes just like you. So attempting to leaving a comment with a critical view particularly in contexts where it might be seen as unfair, unjust, or disproportionately benefiting the already wealthy at the expense of others just shows a lack of understanding of the subject. Even though my initial comment has nothing to do with taxes I will leave you with this.

"Anyone may arrange his affairs so that his taxes shall be as low as possible; he is not bound to choose that pattern which best pays the treasury. There is not even a patriotic duty to increase one's taxes. Over and over again the Courts have said that there is nothing sinister in so arranging affairs as to keep taxes as low as possible. Everyone does it, rich and poor alike and all do right, for nobody owes any public duty to pay more than the law demands."

This quote captures the essence of tax planning and the legal right of individuals and businesses to minimize their tax liabilities within the bounds of the law. - Judge Learned Hand

dikaio··on FinCEN proposes new rule for residential real estate held in trusts or LLCs
No the LLC in Las Vegas has nothing to do with the corporation in Wyoming, i provided it as reference to show that one may have a business in one state but be incorporated in another to protect personal assets, it’s quit common. We could have accomplished the same by placing each property in an a Nevada LLC but Wyoming corporations are cheaper, arguably easier to manage with better protection. Both states have no State taxes.
dikaio··on FinCEN proposes new rule for residential real estate held in trusts or LLCs
We have a business in Las Vegas incorporated as an LLC and incorporated in Wyoming to hold real estate that we purchase overtime and leave to our kids and just yesterday we were notified that FinCen is requesting names, contact information, IDs (passport, drivers license) and percentage owned in the corporation. I would have thought they would have had all that information prior from our filings. In my eyes there’s nothing wrong with any of this, it’s all standard procedure but my assumption is that it’s all rooted from an underlying issue, the US balance sheet keeps going up and the government is looking to cross all Ts and dot all I’s on where they can collect. The underlying issue never gets fixed, that’s that the government can’t stop spending. Fix government, fixes the issue.
dikaio··on Nassim Taleb says the U.S. is in a ‘death spiral’ over government debt
Personally, I don’t think @aryehof is wrong, it’s just that governments do really well at pushing the ball down four more years, until they can’t. It’s like that with all Empires.
dikaio··on Nassim Taleb says the U.S. is in a ‘death spiral’ over government debt
I’ve personally disliked Zeihans gung-ho rants about how everyone is nothing without the US but I do have to say, he has nailed the China issues pretty well, him and Kyle Bass.
dikaio··on 23andMe's Fall
Agree. Everyone should be requesting to have their information deleted from their platform.
dikaio··on FBI confirms it issued remote kill command to blow out Volt Typhoon's botnet
It’s not an allegation it’s a fact. Also, the point of the subject wasn’t missed this is why I lead with “not exactly the same”. To provide a bit more clarity, these dev teams often request access to the users computer through teamviewer and similar or ask to have a full working device that they can login to as to work from so essentially they’re on the persons network with a device with full access to that network. My statement never suggest anything related to the botnet. Regarding hackers, yes devs of course could be potential hackers, likely.
