The people who investigate these incidents were appointed to investigate them because City and State agree'd that CPD was unwilling to investigate the misdeeds of their department.

So they setup an Independent review board. Which sounds nice and independent but...(Mayor and CPD friends filled it with former CPD brass or family of former CPD or former consultants to CPD)

Now they are firing investigators because they don't give reports that appease the department.

This is just another feather in the hat of police corruption rolling thru Chicago.

Right. Then the FTC/BCP will swoop in with massive $$$ lawsuits over unsubstantiated claims.

It wouldn't have been such a big deal if there weren't so many legal things tied to it. Taxes, medical, property rights etc.

I would imagine there is some sort of logic system that will only allow packages of a certain size to be delivered. Ie: no giant flat screen tvs being delivered to your trunk.

So in many ways, this may be more of a 'fishing trip' thru the data than an actual indexing.

Can't you just call the CC and dispute the charges and or freeze charges from that merchant? Granted that doesn't solve the larger problem here but it would at least stop the guy from abusing the system.

I know US is the center of the world and all but if Aprils fools is culturally a western only thing, I would think it puts traders on other ends of the world at a disadvantage. "We" know it was a joke but those from other cultures trading in our markets would have to take that extra beat to think "is this a joke or not". Instant disadvantage.

With all those 5 bucks for 1000 page likes companies, there are a ton of people who are just paid to click like on things. Its not bots, its humans from places that are not the US. These humans, to avoid detection just click on random things to like in the US just to make it less obvious when they are paid to click like on things.

Didn't they get caught a few months ago doing exactly that? I forget the company but when they got their documents back from Google they had sticky notes all over it asking engineers for workarounds to IP... or am I remember it completely wrong?
