didip··on Same-day upstream Linux support for Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5
Is it easy to buy a DGX Spark?
didip··on The last-ever penny will be minted today in Philadelphia
We should stop printing physical money and just start making payments digitally everywhere.
didip··on I can build enterprise software but I can't charge for it
Anyone can build anything, it’s the selling that is hard. You need runways for momentum to even begin.
didip··on Collaboration sucks
For real. The only collaboration that is super fast is between yourself and Claude Code.
didip··on AI adoption in US adds ~900k tons of CO₂ annually, study finds
Meh… datacenters are a big specialized location where you can do a lot of fancy green energy tech.

This small amount can easily be reduced to zero.

didip··on Marko – A declarative, HTML‑based language
Honestly, why not just put Scheme on the browser.

Scheme is capable to represent HTML JS and CSS all in 1 language.

didip··on Why is Zig so cool?
Is it cool? It seems to be in nether land between Rust and Go. Not sure what is the unique use case for Zig.
didip··on Mark Zuckerberg Had Illegal School at His Palo Alto Compound. Neighbors Revolted
I don't get why he insist on doing what he want there. He could have way more land and privacy by living deeper inland, like Portola Valley or west of Saratoga. But still within spitting distance to civilization.
didip··on Google suspended my company's Google cloud account for the third time
If you are a business, I am not sure why on earth do you want to deal with the world’s worst customer service company: Google.

They got used to ads money, where they control the entire board. They never got good in other types of businesses. Especially not in customer service.

didip··on Google suspended my company's Google cloud account for the third time
Heh, I have been wondering about this for a very long time. The walled garden toll booth is too strict.

For example, the old Uber with the crazy thing they did. What if in the alternate universe they straight up got banned? That’s it. All investments would go to zero.

didip··on SQLite concurrency and why you should care about it
This is fascinating. What would be the solution for this? You can’t ask users to defrag.
didip··on Use DuckDB-WASM to query TB of data in browser
How… does it not blow up browser’s memory?
didip··on Show HN: In a single HTML file, an app to encourage my children to invest
Good. Financial education is sorely needed for everyone in America.

Now if only there’s an app that can teach delayed gratification.

didip··on Uv is the best thing to happen to the Python ecosystem in a decade
UV indeed is a blessing. Love it. Hopefully it gets recommended as the official one.
didip··on Meta is axing 600 roles across its AI division
This is my read too. Massive culling to bring in Alexandr Wang's people.
didip··on Look, Another AI Browser
Why the negativity? A browser is the gateway between end user and technology/information/AI themselves.

Of course everyone with money is racing trying to control it. It makes sense.

didip··on Sequoia COO quit over Shaun Maguire's comments about Mamdani
Large amount of money simply shows what a person truly is. It enhances the personality that’s already there.
didip··on MinIO stops distributing free Docker images
I never understood Minio. Why not just use S3? Why not just use Ceph?

If you need just the interface for dev environment, I am sure Claude can cobble it together in 1 day.

This seems like a maneuver of a dying company.

didip··on Ask HN: Our AWS account got compromised after their outage
During time of panic, that’s when people are most vulnerable to phishing attacks.

Total password reset and tell your AWS representative. They usually let it slide on good faith.

didip··on Build your own database
Off by 1 error is indeed a hard problem.
didip··on Doing well in your courses: Andrej's advice for success (2013)
So many “hot takes” about studying but really it comes down to 1 thing: Are you disciplined enough to have an excellent time management.

That’s basically it.

didip··on EVs are depreciating faster than gas-powered cars
Or you can look at it from the opposite side.

There are plenty of deals to be had from a used EV market.

didip··on Ruby core team takes ownership of RubyGems and Bundler
How’s th adoption and usage situation for Ruby these days?

Is Ruby ecosystem doing well?

didip··on Hacking the Humane AI Pin
Seeing that it's a super flawed idea, surprising that Humane put in so much effort in this product. I thought it was just a quick cash grab attempt.
didip··on Switch to Jujutsu Already: A Tutorial
I don’t get it. Git is working well enough. Any failure on git workflows is usually failure in team process.
didip··on MAML – A new configuration language
This is super controversial for HN but I really really like YAML. The best “human readable” config language.
didip··on Meta Superintelligence Labs' first paper is about RAG
I always wonder about that. Those $100m Mathematicians... how can they have rooms to think under Meta's crushing IMPACT pressure?
didip··on The <output> Tag
I honestly don't know what is it for. Why is it important to have an output tag.

The output of any actions will be shoved into any N random elements. So every `<div>` will have `<output>`? Why? Waste of payload size and CPU cycles in parsing.

The designers of semantic tags truly live in ivory towers.

didip··on Datastar: Lightweight hypermedia framework for building interactive web apps
Anything that’s using server side rendering gets my vote.

But isn’t HTMX+Websocket basically the same as datastar?

didip··on Python 3.14 is here. How fast is it?
Every time I hear news about Python language itself, it sadden me that, in 2025, PyPy is still a separate distinct track from mainline Python.

That said, I wonder if GIL-less Python will one day enable GIL-less C FFI? That would be a big win that Python needs.
