derencius··on Prompting Claude Opus 5.5
i've built a subagent that does that. i have a hook to force any promot writing to go through this subagent that has reference to all those docs from anthropic, openai and gemini.
derencius··on Prompting Claude Opus 5.5

derencius··on Meta launches Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp subscriptions
I was paying for the ads-free subscripton for instagram and I recently I canceled as a way to reduce social media usage. And the ad version of Instagram is so annoying that it is helping a lot more.

If this new sub becomes a status signaling, it might work.

derencius··on Show HN: Claude Reflect – Auto-turn Claude corrections into project config
I usually ask Claude Code to write entries to the md file but I also ask for a prompt to test the rule in a new session. Sometime the rules cc writes are not good enough

it's super fast (autocomplete, arrow up/down) and "looks cool" without any extra configuration.
derencius··on Revolut staff claim they’ve been told to quit their jobs or be fired
I just had my TransferWise account closed during a transfer to pay rent while overseas. They are holding some of my money, with no perspective of returning it. They say they can't disclose the reasons, leaving you helpless.

I'd advise to be cautions with transferwise as well.

derencius··on Ask HN: Are you a remote worker that escaped to the countryside?
I used to live in sao paulo, working for large software consultancies, and it has been 10 years that I started working remotly and moved to a small beach town 3 hours away: more productive, more free time, less expenses.
derencius··on SoundCloud saved by emergency funding as CEO steps aside
I agree. my collection of liked mixes on soundcloud is the perfect soundtrack for getting work done. I prefer to listen a song I like, specially electronic, in a dj mix than in a playlist.

making schema changes on a large mysql table can be painful, specially if you have foreign keys and don't have the premium tools.
