deathspin··on Contract for Sale of Soul
HAHA! Funny enough, two weeks ago I wanted to learn how to create unique NFTs and a friend said "if you can sell my soul with an NFT, I'm in" ... yesterday I pushed the first test live (no minting yet) https://test.soulz.art
deathspin··on Ask HN: What is your most impressive hackathon project?
Tinder for Farm Animals

deathspin··on Ask HN: How much time per week do you spend on side projects?
50% of my time is dedicated to my side project (20-40 hours).

Over the last 2 years I cut consulting hours down to 20, and increased my hourly rate so I could work 50% of the time for 75% of the money.

deathspin··on The licensing program for MP3-related patents has been terminated
this website needs more 1px lines.
deathspin··on Reasons to use a paper-based task manager
It really depends on the individuals learning style. For me, more room for more stuff is not better.
deathspin··on The eCommerce buying API powering amberExpress. Order products with code
Very interesting. The scraping aspect of it scares me a bit if they don't stay up on the various changes a retailer might make to their store. But all in all, this could shake some shit up.
deathspin··on Ask HN: What is your opinion about Wordpress?
I love WordPress for it's flexibility, sheer market dominance and that I've made a decent amount of money from it. But the code base is aging - yes they keep the front-end fairly modern, but the underlying code for the plugins, themes and whatnot are in need of a massive upgrade. I'd like to see the entire theme and plugins system be revamped with a true OO based approach.
deathspin··on Ask HN: Should I drop out the college?
Drop it.
deathspin··on Ask HN: Should I use Wordpress to power the front end of my Rails web app?
You'd want to do it as a WordPress plugin, this way you're not fucking around with any core files and it should be upgrade proof (for the most part). Start Here: http://codex.wordpress.org/Writing_a_Plugin
deathspin··on Ask HN: Should I use Wordpress to power the front end of my Rails web app?
I'd put the marketing site at whatever.com and the app and app.whatever.com.

You then decide what types of information needs to pass between the two systems. Instead of porting your entire frontend you simple build a few API calls and pull those in with WordPress.

deathspin··on Show HN: I've launched my iPhone journal app I've worked on for almost 2 years.
She's a beaut, nice work. I'm sure the NSA will greatly appreciate this also.
