It's a pretty normal word in British English, tbh.
Maybe it's because we do French at school.
Because this is for scripts in ~/bin, not projects.
They need to be self-contained.
If you already own a domain, it's pretty convenient.
The app is so full of click-me dark patterns, it feels more like an iffy porn site than the product of a major tech corp.
Abysmal based on what? What % of CS graduates are brown/black to begin with?
Go read the article again. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.
Why would you rather build SUVs for soccer moms than race cars?
Sod people. Won't somebody think of the LLCs!!!
The sheer impudence of workers demanding money for their work and whining about rent.
There are shareholders over here who don't even have a megayacht to sit around on all day.
There are a bunch of exceptions for specific jobs.
The working hours, comp+ben etc. are usually determined by collective agreement with unions.

As I understand it, the court didn't so much agree as practically force them to accept the deal.
The whole thing was largely engineered by the Sacklers managing to get the case heard by probably the most Sackler-friendly judge in the country.
I think you ought to give them a bit more credit than that.
I think the problem is that launching a streaming service is basically going into competition with their cable partners. It wasn't worth jeopardising their cable revenue at that time.
It's not like many professional services manage the long-lived part, either, is it?
I have much more confidence in my WebDAV server still being around in a decade than pretty much any cloud-based service.
Simpler than having to worry about Python versions, let alone dependencies.
That's hardly Apple's fault, but it is so annoying. Hardly any of my cables have proper reinforcement sleeves any more.
Apple started making awful cables that snapped at the plugs, and everybody else just copied them.
Catch up with what? Does anyone else have an AI product actually worth having?
Is it somehow bad that Apple hasn't also released an AI that doesn't do what it's supposed do half of the time?
Like remembering when it's spelled "stationary" and when "stationery".
"Still" and "paper" are easier to remember.
