dddnzzz334··on Tea app leak worsens with second database exposing user chats
The 200GB one had a folder called .pad that was about 150GB and had nothing but null byte files in it.

Don't try to brag about something that doesn't exist please

dddnzzz334··on Sudo local privilege escalation vulnerabilities fixed
I strongly believe sudo must not be installed on personal user systems. It's attack surface is far too large and that too for features no one other than enterprise is ever gonna use.

How many systems have sudo installed and how many of them are using sudoers config in LDAP or SSSD or the log collector or any of the stupid features like chroot etc.?

dddnzzz334··on Dogbolt Decompiler Explorer
The code is open source and has been looked at by several people over the years. It would be quite hard for the NSA to sneak in a backdoor but it is never out of the question. However, the risk is so extremely minuscule when compared to other alternatives since they are not even open source.
dddnzzz334··on Maths and science animations (2018)
I guess the Processing/p5.js people are the ones
dddnzzz334··on Show HN: Python-Type-Challenges, master Python typing with online exercises
I am unable to do https://python-type-challenges.zeabur.app/intermediate/calla...

I am doing

    type SingleStringInput = Callable[[str], None]
but it doesn't seem to work :(

EDIT:

I got the problem. You need a new line at the end since it seems as if it is concatenating my last line to the first line of the test.

dddnzzz334··on India’s government wants total control of the internet
If the government doesn't have problem with criticism, why do they censor people left and right and impose the draconian UAPA on any media which criticizes them? Your linked videos are quite literally propaganda pieces by a well-known propaganda channel. >Akash Banerjee is a leftist. He isn't.
dddnzzz334··on Ask HN: What's your favorite illustration in computer science?

stop using windows lol
dddnzzz334··on If Google sucks then why is everyone still using it?
> bing is the king for porn.

I would disagree. It is nice at the start but it shows the same things on the same search result forever. That is not something that you'd want in a Porn search engine, you'd want it to have some amount of randomization.

dddnzzz334··on Toward a better list iterator for the Linux kernel
That is because Linux Kernel is THE Kernel. There is no other Kernel that is relevant at all.
dddnzzz334··on Physically Based Rendering: From theory to implementation (2016)
So, can I just start reading this book chapter-by-chapter implementing what I learnt in a language of my choice? What is the optimal way to go through this book?
dddnzzz334··on Contributing to Complex Projects
So, what should I use instead? I want to start working with huge C codebases. I want a tool that is open source.
dddnzzz334··on Bunny DNS – A scriptable DNS platform
Very interesting license
dddnzzz334··on Less secure apps and your Google Account
Any suggestions for good privacy-centric email providers?
dddnzzz334··on Visa, Mastercard block Russian financial institutions after sanctions
China has UnionPay and Russia has MIR. Neither comes close to competing with VISA and MasterCard. The thing is that these cards only work domestically and are literally impossible to pay for things online (unless the payment processor specifically caters to your market). Unless RuPay can be used painlessly internationally, it won't be of much use.
dddnzzz334··on Moving the Linux Kernel to Modern C
How do I learn all these pointer hacks in C?
dddnzzz334··on Royal Society cautions against censorship of scientific misinformation online
People knowledgeable enough to make something like this function would likely not be willing to do something this niche for free.
dddnzzz334··on Apple Open Source
Yes because Apple users are too stupid to manually install anything.
dddnzzz334··on India tells public to shun Starlink until it gets licence
It means losing the dictatorial control that the Indian government currently has over internet.
dddnzzz334··on India tells public to shun Starlink until it gets licence
It isn't about protecting the interest of the voters but about having power to shut down and censor internet at will that the Indian government doesn't want to lose.
