I used to pay translators for that, but GPT-4 translation is so good. I'd argue domain specific even better than a translator.
I did my taxes in Germany in 10 Minutes a few weeks ago while sitting in the waiting area of our local tax office. Granted I'm just a default working class citizen without anything "special". It gets more complicated if you have some sort of other income. Not for stock investments though, because that's handled entirely by our brokers. Nothing to do there.
Big impact: Reduce sugar intake to max 25g a day
Medium impact: interval fasting (16/8)
Small impact: Fitness. I do a lot, but frankly fitness just doesn't have much of an impact on losing weight.
I'm 34 and keeping my weight of 80kg that way for many years now.
Efficiency and accessibility.
Maybe we need to reconsider our approach to this and AI can certainly play a vital role in improving the situation.
Our life expectancy may even rise, because it's much more accessible.
Intel was also growing fast until it didn't. We all know why.
Especially because Google has exactly one revenue source. MSFT and other companies are at least somewhat diversified. But Google is incredible vulnerable right now.
Probably did a lot more due diligence then.
When I was a child, there were so many butterflies, bees and more in the summer. Today I barely see them anymore.
My ranking:
1. ChatGPT4 - flawless translation. I was blown away
2. DeepL - very close, but one mistake
3. Google Translate - good translation, some mistakes
4. Microsoft Translate - bad translation, many mistakes
I can understand the panic.
If documented its no problem and not uncommon at all in Germany.
In fact many business owners pay something like credit card bills personally and reimburse through the company later.
If it's a good article that's upvoted a lot, it should also be linked in some places and thus get a higher search score.
But I understand Google here. It's probably their single biggest income stream. Our company is using a very big chunk of our ad words budget targeting our own brand name to make sure it's on top. More than for any other keyword by far. And I imagine many others do the same.
Edit: probably not a fair comparison though since I come from the countryside in Germany where everything's generally cheaper than in the cities.
Hopefully they fix it until next Monday. I'm having a flight to Frankfurt then.
Hype or not, it's incredibly useful and has increased my productivity by at least 20%. Worth every penny.
