darkhorn··on The other Sean Byrne doesn't exist
May be you need to change your name to something unique like Ackfknetce. That will be cheaper.
darkhorn··on The other Sean Byrne doesn't exist
It looks like it will be a good idea to name a baby after those databases are checked so that he/she is less likely have a problem in the future.
darkhorn··on The other Sean Byrne doesn't exist
Let me guess, he was living in his home address and he was employed. He had no visits by police but when he tried to leave the country no one was bothered who he really was but they were bothered that a not so much friendly UI message has appeared on the screen.
darkhorn··on US strikes $1.2B deal to pay German firm to halt offshore wind projects
Anti wind farm rethoric is common among pro-Russian politicians in Bulgaria too.
darkhorn··on Android now stops you sharing your location in photos
I agree with you. The next steps should be to disable the internet nationwide like North Korea. People have no idea how much bad things are there. Also I don't like fun things.
darkhorn··on Android now stops you sharing your location in photos
Just tested with Firefox 149 on Android 13. There are no coordinates when I upload an image to EXIF viewer web sites.
darkhorn··on GitHub's Historic Uptime
When I say that Microsoft writes very bad code some people get offended. For example for Azure Event Hubs they have almost no documentation and Java libraries that mostly do not run.
darkhorn··on People inside Microsoft are fighting to drop mandatory Microsoft Account
Why Microsoft is obsessed with accounts? Azure's managed identity for this for that drives me crazy. An integration that could be done in few hours takes more than a week. No proper documentation, buggy libraries, made up, non-standard behaviors, uhhhh...
darkhorn··on 10% of Firefox crashes are caused by bitflips
What brands or types of memory cards are less likely to crash by bitflips?
darkhorn··on Don't use passkeys for encrypting user data
I don't use passkeys because I am scared that I will not be able to recover my account with my email address.
darkhorn··on How far back in time can you understand English?
1700s English is like 1200s Turkish. It looks like English has evolved very much. 1500s English is kind of underdtandable for me but 1400s English is not underdtandable.
darkhorn··on Macron says €300B in EU savings sent to the US every year will be invested in EU
I think $300B is about everything. Pension funds, investment, military spending etc.

The glasses are due to eye redness.

darkhorn··on YouTube AI error costs creator his channel over alleged link to Japanese account
AI is cheap and works 90% of the time. Loosing some creators is no problem for YouTube.

When we have a competitor only then it will be a problem for YouTube.

darkhorn··on If a pilot ejects, what is the autopilot programmed to do? (2018)
I think the most proper thing for the jet should be to destroy itself. In a war enviornment I would not like my enemy to gain intel about my military jets.
darkhorn··on Foreign hackers breached a US nuclear weapons plant via SharePoint flaws
This was 2 years ago; compression in Azure Front Door works only when you enable caching in Azure Front Door. This is made up rule by Microsoft. It is not standard.

Also I was compressing my responses in my back-end but Azure Front Door was decompressing them. Why?!!!

darkhorn··on Foreign hackers breached a US nuclear weapons plant via SharePoint flaws
Microsoft's softwares do not follow standards thus they hard to work with.
darkhorn··on A years-long Turkish alphabet bug in the Kotlin compiler
Java; write once, run anywhere, except on Turkish Windows.
darkhorn··on When I say “alphabetical order”, I mean “alphabetical order”
> I don’t know when this became the norm, to be honest I have not used a normal graphical file manager in a long time.

If I remember correctly Windows 98 was sorting alphabetically. Then Windows XP strted to take numbers into consideration.

darkhorn··on EU age verification app not planning desktop support
And I hope they give their gender, ethnicity, nationality, religion, salary and geo coordinates.
darkhorn··on Ask HN: The government of my country blocked VPN access. What should I use?
People in Turkey use https://github.com/ValdikSS/GoodbyeDPI together with DNS over HTTPS (DoH).
darkhorn··on How Not to Buy a SSD
I am blocked too.
darkhorn··on White House prepares order targeting banks for "unbanking" for political reasons
He is preparing the USA for a dictartorship.
darkhorn··on Visa and Mastercard are getting overwhelmed by gamer fury over censorship
Which one is more dangerous? Killing people (like in Call of Duty and Age of Empires II) or nudity? Why one is more normalized than the other one?
darkhorn··on Microsoft to stop using China-based teams to support Department of Defense
I don't know. May be China was paying to Microsoft so that China based teams support Department of Defence.
darkhorn··on Bulgaria to join euro area on 1 January 2026
Right but back then Cyprus was not an EU member.
darkhorn··on Bulgaria to join euro area on 1 January 2026
Because they wrote ΕΥΡΩ specifically only for Greece, the only country to use Greek alphabet.
darkhorn··on YouTube No Translation
Isnn't there any settings on Youtube to disable translation from Turkish into English? Why Youtube assumes that I am single lingual? It makes me crazy! I use Android and Youtube in English because it is thr original language. I watch sometimes Turksh videos from Turkish people but why the hell it translates into English?!
darkhorn··on Breaking WebAuthn, FIDO2, and Forging Passkeys
What is passkey? I refuse anything that is not standardized? Aren't WebAuth or/and FIDO2 enough?
darkhorn··on After millions of years, why are carnivorous plants still so small?
