dario_od··on Kagi Snaps
Isn't the problem that only google can crawl new reddit pages now?
dario_od··on Hyprland 0.44
I'd love to try this, but a few months ago I tried Wayland and half of the stuff wasn't working :/
dario_od··on Flappy Bird for Android, only C, under 100KB
Are you including SFML loc in that total?
dario_od··on Why Haskell?
What makes you say that stack is the best you found in any language? I use it daily, and in my experience I'd put it just a bit above PHP's composer
dario_od··on New York Times tech workers union votes to authorize a strike
I opened the link and filtered by executive. Thirteen people there: - 5 white men - 4 white women - 1 black man - 2 black women - 1 asian woman

Pretending that a sample size of 12 should exactly reflect the diversity of the whole population of the country is just weird to me.

dario_od··on Show HN: Ki Editor – Multicursor syntactical editor
It really needs a tutorial. I'd like to get a feel of how it works before having to study the documentation.

Aside from that congrats!

dario_od··on Show HN: Haystack – an IDE for exploring and editing code on an infinite canvas
This looks way too mouse reliant to be something that I'd personally use. It's always interesting to see new approaches to ides though
dario_od··on Panic at the Job Market
I'm really against leet code interviews in general as a concept.

Having said this, I'd never hire a person that's not able to reason about this. Actually writing the implementation is really secondary

dario_od··on Zed on Linux Is Here
Sadly I can't run it in WSL.

thread 'main' panicked at crates/gpui/src/platform/linux/wayland/client.rs:143:51:

called `Result::unwrap()` on an `Err` value: UnsupportedVersion

note: run with `RUST_BACKTRACE=1` environment variable to display a backtrace

dario_od··on Komorebi: Tiling Window Management for Windows
It's mainly to avoid having to use a mouse, you don't have to create many tiny windows
dario_od··on Ubuntu 24.10 to Default to Wayland for Nvidia Users
It's not better on Ubuntu. I had your same experience
dario_od··on Leaving Rust gamedev after 3 years
You more or less described Zig
dario_od··on Things unexpectedly named after people (2020)
The main junction in Rome is called GRA, or Grande Raccordo Anulare (great ring junction). The name actually comes from Eugenio Gra, one of its main designers
dario_od··on Inside the proton, the ‘most complicated thing you could possibly imagine’
Thanks!
dario_od··on Bard is now Gemini, and we’re rolling out a mobile app and Gemini Advanced
I went for the trial. Now what am I supposed to do with this? It's just a "chatgpt"? I can't see myself using this much, let alone pay 20 euros a month for it.

What are some cool use cases?

dario_od··on Plastic bag bans work
Great! Can you show me the numbers that make you think that these bans were not effective?
dario_od··on Advice to young people, the lies I tell myself
Right. It might be because I have no idea who the author is, but this post read like a bunch of useless incoherent ramblings
dario_od··on Navajo objection to flying human ashes to the Moon won't delay launch
Why? It's not very clear to me why nations that had nothing to do with them should own anything to the Navajo specifically.
dario_od··on Vox: Alpha open-source browser engine in V
Isn't it what's happening now with vox?
