Teslas aren't approved to operate as taxis, whereas Waymos explicitly are. I think that's the difference here.
I'm really curious what the full interaction was like for this SF Waymo. The QR code on the window just links to a couple phone numbers[2] which seems insufficient to me in the case where a car is merely ticketed but not formally pulled over.

The Rivian R1T's clearance goes up to 14.9 inches, and has a motor per wheel. Does it count?
And yet you ended up writing one of the most unnecessarily negative things I've read on here in a long time.
Disclosure: I might not have worked on The Orb but I do work on Steam Deck and other projects at Valve.

The human element is important. Because we're humans.
I very quickly switched all of my logic over to vanilla JavaScript in Node-RED and haven't looked back.
Do you also go into skateboard shops with this rant when they refer to their boards as decks?
Edit: Actually I don't care, this is just normal (and wrong) Internet Pedantry™ but I'm just taken aback by how out of place and violent it is!
I can't think of any apps or services that Apple has launched in the past decade and has since killed, whereas without even trying I can rattle off at least ten such projects by Google.
But doesn't that prove the concept that they're the same thing? If they were different things, surely there would be a different command for creating a folder and versus creating a directory. But there's just one command, and nobody is going to make a command called `mkdirakafol` ("make directory a.k.a. folder"). Sometimes multiple names can mean the same thing.
Like, a "trunk" and a "boot" can refer to the same thing. So what you just said is like "my car has an Open Trunk button, not an Open Boot button, so surely those are different concepts."
I've fallen for xkcd 386...
So about that! There's this iOS app called Flightly that does a brilliant little hack where the app updates itself in (almost) real time on the "free messaging" plan. The way it works (according to a friend) is that their servers send your phone a push notification every couple of minutes from take-off until landing, containing some serialized info such as lat, long, alt, eta, etc. And then the app immediately swallows the notification and deserializes its content without you ever seeing it. The notification works because in order for Alaska to give you notifications at all for your messaging apps, it needs to give you access to _all_ push notifications as they all get sent over an encrypted connected through Apple's server and it can't pick and choose which apps' notifications it lets through.
I've often wondered if it'd be possible to pipe any sort of internet over notifications but I'm not sure if e.g. inline responses are viable, and also that'd probably be heavy enough usage of push notifications I'm sure it's violate someone's TOS.
Normally I'm the kind of person who has a bias against things not "fresh" but this one doesn't phase me in the slightest. I suspect it's because NY-style pizza re-heated in this matter (or even as next-day leftovers in a Hot oven) are damn good! Something about it, it comes back to life just perfectly to me.
Uncomment one of the PGunXX types that you want to see, then below it type this:
const boardstr: PGun10 = ``;
Then put the cursor inside the two backticks and press Control+Space for intellisense autocomplete, and press enter on the first entry there. Then intellisense will put the computed board into a string literal, looking like: const boardstr: PGun10 = `............................................
........................xx..................
........................x..x................
..........x.x...............x......xx.......
........x...x..xxx..........x......xx.......
.xx.....x...................x...............
.xx....x....x.......xx..x..x................
........x.......x.x..x..xx..................
........x...x.....xxx.......................
..........x.x...............................
