You may want to make it more "Agent Ready"

computersuck··on One year of sponsored Servo development
Servo uses mozjs which is just rust bindings for SpiderMonkey which is still C++.

All this effort to use rust and yet they would not rewrite the JS engine which is the biggest attack surface for memory vulns.

computersuck··on Ten years of ClickHouse in open source
Has anyone tried using ClickHouse to build a SIEM or security related tool?
computersuck··on Texas woman arrested for Facebook post about town water quality
so much for democracy
computersuck··on 'No way to prevent this,' says only package manager where this regularly happens
Do not fucking use npm. Stay the fuck away from it. Want to write JS? AI can now write vanilla JS for you with no libraries. Own your code.
computersuck··on Cloudflare to cut about 20% of its workforce
Shameless title.
computersuck··on Email could have been X.400 times better
More like X.400 times convoluted
computersuck··on Kagi is contemplating the removal of the assistant from its professional tier
Feels like a rug pull.. smells like enshittification
computersuck··on The emergence of print-on-demand Amazon paperback books
Don't buy from Amazon and expect anything but. Knowing the kind of company it is and still being a customer is inexcusable.
computersuck··on Deterministic Programming with LLMs
this is a long article that doesn't say much at all. likely generated by AI?

it goes on for ages just to reach the point of "write the tests first"

computersuck··on Smallest transformer that can add two 10-digit numbers
this is the dumbest fking thing to do math with
computersuck··on Will vibe coding end like the maker movement?
> You’re left reaching inward for something that the process never required you to develop, and the gap between the effort you expected to invest and the effort that was actually needed starts to feel like a personal failure rather than a feature of the technology.
computersuck··on Vim-pencil: Rethinking Vim as a tool for writing
It already is.
computersuck··on Welcoming Discord users amidst the challenge of Age Verification
Doesn't sound that fking welcoming to me
computersuck··on The €10 Mirror: Why Enterprise Security Looks Like a Kid's Toy

computersuck··on 30 Years of ReactOS
Multi Processor Support!!? Cutting edge stuff
computersuck··on If you put Apple icons in reverse it looks like someone getting good at design
Because people are habitual, and mental load increases when you have to learn the UI again every update. Like if someone decided to change all your pots and pans every few months, it's harzadous for cooking.
computersuck··on There's a ridiculous amount of tech in a disposable vape
It's very profitable to recycle small electronics in some economies where thousands of companies do it (eg India or Shenzhen); in countries where human labour is more expensive, it's untenable

computersuck··on Total monthly number of StackOverflow questions over time
https://archive.org/details/stackexchange Found it
computersuck··on Total monthly number of StackOverflow questions over time
Someone needs to archive the entirety of StackOverflow and make it available over torrent so that it can be preserved when the site shuts down. Urgently.
computersuck··on Karpathy on Programming: “I've never felt this much behind”
you mean "one" not "once" right?
computersuck··on Amnezia – Self-Hosted VPN
Bit dodgy that they don't provide transparent setup commands or server source code on their github. I get the ease of user setup thing, I just think that the server should be able to be self deployed without a client GUI, or providing them the IP and creds to your VPS.
computersuck··on I failed to recreate the 1996 Space Jam website with Claude
this is just AI brainrot disease

Help, I can't recreate a website with AI! There's no other way, no way I could fix up some HTML code! Believe me, I'm an engineering manager with a computer science degree!

Absolutely disgusting.

computersuck··on I failed to recreate the 1996 Space Jam website with Claude
Why not just host a copy from waybackmachine?
computersuck··on Cloudflare was down
waaay too soon
computersuck··on Show HN: Elf – A CLI Helper for Advent of Code
I really like the clear explanation of caching behavior in the README. More open source projects should do this and save people time from searching forums or code base for "where does it store X"
computersuck··on Microsoft won't let me pay a $24 bill, blocking thousands in Azure spending
Microsoft sucks, don't bother, use a different cloud. I hear good things about BuyVM
computersuck··on Shai-Hulud Returns: Over 300 NPM Packages Infected
I cannot believe how long it's taking github to shut this down, it's still going, and all they need to do is block a 18 char alphanumeric repo name from creation for this specific wave.

computersuck··on Ask HN: What are you working on?
That's honestly amazing, one of the biggest you may face is some big-medtech company copying your approach, scaling it into a shitty SaaS much quicker and selling it better because they have connections to the greasy higher ups that own the aged care companies.
