clircle··on Understanding UMAP (2019)
>1. Hyperparameters really matter

>2. Cluster sizes in a UMAP plot mean nothing

>3. Distances between clusters might not mean anything

>4. Random noise doesn’t always look random.

>5. You may need more than one plot

Oh OK, so this is basically impossible to know if you are learning something or inventing garbage.

clircle··on Ways to use Embark (2021)
I believe that's actually context-menu-mode. https://www.gnu.org/software/emacs/manual/html_node/emacs/Me...

FWIW, I have experimented both with embark and context-menu-mode, and I have found that I don't really benefit from adding either to my workflow. (except I do get some mileage out of embark-collect)

clircle··on RSS is still pretty great
I actually find that for most feeds, I dislike chronological sorting. It is a good default, but I prefer to have rules that promote certain authors and keywords. For example, on my Arxiv feeds, I promote certain keywords, and "autoread" everything else. On news feeds, I promote articles about my specific area of the city.

I use Gnus to create my own recommendation engine to do this.
