chriswright1664··on Ask HN: Who is hiring? (August 2026)
Earl | AI product engineer | London | On-site 4 days/week | Fixed term to Dec 2026

We’re hiring an AI-native engineer to work with Earl on a live project inside a Premier League football club. This is not an AI strategy role, and it’s not a chatbot demo job. You’ll work directly with people inside the club's commercial team, find valuable problems, and build production AI systems that are actually used.

We’re looking for someone who can move from vague problem → technical design → working product quickly.

You do not need football experience.

You do need strong product judgement, the ability to work directly with non-technical users, and evidence that you’ve actually shipped things.

We’re particularly interested in people who build with AI as their default way of working, rather than conventional engineers who have recently added an LLM API to their CV.

To apply, send me:

- A short intro - 2-3 things you’ve built What you personally did - How you currently use AI to build software - Location and availability

Strong candidates will do a paid practical working session.

chriswright1664··on Ask HN: ADHD – How do you manage the constant stream of thoughts and ideas?
I agree. Even worse if you actually use an em dash in your day to day. I think we are in a transition period. People are uber sensitive to “oh this is AI slip, I must call it out”. It will course correct.
chriswright1664··on Ask HN: ADHD – How do you manage the constant stream of thoughts and ideas?
My idea is document everything. Every idea. All thoughts. Links. Ides I have. Then thoughtfully come back to them.

chriswright1664··on Porting Zelda Classic to the web
I’m Chris Wright, mentioned in the 2nd link. I had the original idea, as the article says I commissioned Stefan to write it for me as I had next to no coding skills back then (apart from HTML and PHP). I ran a fairly successful SNES emulation site (I knew the teams behind Snes9x and Zsnes well) and was looking for a gimmick to boost traffic. Stefan took things off in his own direction with the Graal makeover (we never actually got threatened by Nintendo legal) and we lost touch. There was a house in the game that was ‘mine’ and credited me with the idea.

Half related fun fact: I was also behind the very first leak of the SNES Starfox 2 ROM onto the web. One of the devs, which I prob shouldn’t name (though I think it is common knowledge now) was a fan of the site. He got in touch and we did an exclusive interview and ROM release.

thanks, maybe the background should be darker. Also I'm thinking it needs some description text on the landing page.
chriswright1664··on Ask HN: Review my startup: PartnerPul.se
Thanks for the feedback. Too your comment on the map to make me see it was rubbish! It was left over from previous versions but no longer did anything. Also have tweaked the partner activity as well. You where right.

Thanks for your help

chriswright1664··on Paging search results is just silly
If the result the user wants isn't returned, they simply refine their search. Refine (using a nice easy to use panel) rather than 'click next' endlessly.

These decisions are made by me, based on what I think users want, based on my experience and feedback from users. I don't think that is such a bad approach.
