I remember as a kid putting that cd in my computer and driving the car from the "19-2000" music video around. The physics were so mind-boggling to me at the time. I loved it. This article is bringing back those memories.
Actually, I'm not sure if that demo/game came from the CD or from a promo website. It's been so long I don't remember.
I had a feeling I was missing out on a joke or something haha. I thought you might be referring to a silent alarm type device. I'm really interested in finding an alternative that doesn't involve me scrolling through twitter until my brain fog clears up. I don't know if I could cave into buying a Amazon device like that though...
Can you explain what the "Amazon branded wiretap for alarms" is? I did some searches with those terms but can't really understand what you're referring to.
I deleted my Facebook account back in 2015. I was in high school and going through a deep depression/mental break down. I remember feeling so much relief as the days went on. I don't think I was ever designed to handle social media properly. I doubt I'm the only one either.
I highly recommend Cohen's The Book of Longing. It has carried me over the years through mountains of heartbreak. It was one of the first poetry books that I ever read and introduced me into a whole new realm of literature.
This should almost be pinned. I thought this was common knowledge. I don't understand if people are ignorant of this or are completely ignoring it for some reason.
I also use Iceraven and Mull as well. Both have served me great over the years. They're much better than Vanadium that comes by default with GrapheneOS.
I guess the idea is that it potentially could have cost $500 million therefore it was a $500 million mistake. It's not exactly accurate but it does help contextualize the gravity of their mistake.
Librewolf is great, but an easy way to lock down regular Firefox is to generate a profile on something like ffprofile.com and replace the default config.
YouTube is a great resource for this. Channels like The QB School, Football Analysis, and AllexRollinsNFL just name a few examples. Getting a 22 man view with a knowledgeable guide is a great way to understand the thought that goes into each play.
