I am a Cloud and DevOps Systems Engineer. I spend my days managing AWS infrastructure and automating CI/CD pipelines. In my free time, I build zero-backend browser applications. I am very interested in pushing the limits of client-side architecture using TypeScript, Astro, and WebAssembly. My recent projects include a local bulk HTML to Markdown parser and a serverless thermodynamics calculator for German building codes. I prefer building tools that require no databases, no maintenance, and no user accounts. I write about these architectural choices under the handle SlashGordon. Offline, I apply the same pragmatic engineering principles to physical construction. I handle heavy DIY home improvement projects like pouring concrete foundations and rebuilding electrical sub-panels. I am a father to two daughters. I share my workspace with a Labrador named Carlo who has zero respect for clean code.

Also a nice feature would be a ready-to-go Docker container. I imagine quite a few users would prefer running it through Portainer or a similar setup. Sure, it’s easy enough to build one yourself, but having an official container would make getting started even more convenient.

Funny idea! I like it and it’s mostly AI-free.

It has a lot of buttons, but a physical mixing console often looks much wilder. Congratulations on the idea and the result. Great work!

Very aesthetic design. Congratulations!

This is really cool! Maybe it could even be the beginning of a Risk-like strategy game?

Really nice work I especially like the UI!
cdieck88··on Show HN: Draw.city – geography game where you circle the target population [US]
Really cool idea! I’ve always loved GeoGuessr, so this immediately caught my attention. I really like the idea of combining that kind of map exploration with actual population data.I’m also curious about the data side of things. Where do you get the population and demographic data from and how are you allowed to use and redistribute it? Given how huge these datasets must be, how is the data actually provided? Do you download the full dataset, use an API, or is there some other approach?
cdieck88··on Show HN: Visimer – open-source visual editor for Mermaid diagrams
Nice one! I use Mermaid sometimes in my blog posts. Whenever I make a small change, I have to run `astro build` to see the result in the generated HTML. With your editor, the whole process should be much faster.
cdieck88··on Show HN: Desktopcolors.com – A museum for solid background colors of classic OS
Wow, cool idea! Where did you get all the information from? Did you pick the color schemes by analyzing all the images you found on the web?

Nice UI and congratulations. Also, a nice feature would be multi-language support. Such a feature is a quick win in combination with AI tools and gives you a larger range of visitors.

Vaultwarden and the Bitwarden clients are a dream team. I run the backend on my Proxmox server at home.
