ccozan··on My weird new hobby: Wandering around Tokyo on Google Maps
I found on YT a lot of videos driving through Tokyo. At first, I thought is very big and messy. The more I watched, it clicked how is organized ( the ring around it, the main streets, the neighbourhoods, etc ). After a week, it had the strange sensation I am living in Tokyo , since I was involuntarily remembering flashes of streets or corners. Even now, after months, I can close my eyes and see them, like a real memory of walking down that streets.

Beautiful Singularities.

Improbably, the real bottleneck is energy.

one LLM is enough!

ccozan··on 11,000-year-old sculpture of man riding a leopard found in Turkey
Not sure what is mind boggling. The homo sapiens exists in the _current_ form ( physiologically and brain size, etc ) since at least 250k years. about 50k year ago abstract art was already in vogue.

Humor and jokes exist since the great apes!
ccozan··on How Europe is killing makers and micro-entrepreneurs
yes stored in their warehouse. But the law says I am a producer becase my logo and my registered brand is on the package.

The packaging issue is orthogonal to Amazon. they just apply the law.

ccozan··on How Europe is killing makers and micro-entrepreneurs
No absolutely no. We were selling some electronic stuff on Amazon. We were doing good. But then this came, the registration that become mandatory, took 3 months instead of 3 weeks and then they had no rules and deleted saying our device is not the right category. We closed shop after spending time and money. The system is horrenduos and has not stopped the chinese stuff on the Amazon at all.

I heard the raktajino is really good! Qapla'!
ccozan··on Codex in ChatGPT desktop app for Linux is now in preview
ooh, chatGPT is really good in filtering bullshit and recommending the products that really fit.

For serious stuff, is part of the shopping flow.

ccozan··on Danube's record low levels force shutdown of Hungary's only nuclear plant
Batteries?

Starting this year, in Romania you cannot put new PV capacity online without the storage for it, is mandatory. Possibly for existing ones, but I am not sure.

ccozan··on The bottleneck might be the air in the room
I wonder if the corona times trend to WFH and jump to Teams/Zoom/etc meetings instead of physical meetings had/has a positive effect in regards to this.
ccozan··on Founding a company in Germany: €9600, 152 days and I still can't send an invoice
yes because you are handling 100s of milions and you are some sort of public face then you get targeted.

But if you are some noname making maybe up to a few mils per year income, nobody is going to chase you and prove you are avoiding local taxation. You are always "in a short holiday trip" :).

ccozan··on Founding a company in Germany: €9600, 152 days and I still can't send an invoice
That is nothing: wait until you want to _close_ a company in Germany :)
ccozan··on Founding a company in Germany: €9600, 152 days and I still can't send an invoice
In Germany yes, the law is pretty tough: you need to think _every_ day this "Will I be able to pay anything I have to pay with a horizon of 12 months?"

If in one day answer is NO, you have to immediatelly go and register insolvency. If you do not do it, big issue, and possible jail time.

ccozan··on Founding a company in Germany: €9600, 152 days and I still can't send an invoice
yes but you are still liable for the full 25.000 euros.

This is a very insigthful comment! I also checked and the notary fee I paid 10+ years ago is the same as I paid this year ( for a GmbH founding ).
ccozan··on Never Give Them Your Face
...when driving.
ccozan··on Never Give Them Your Face
best anonymization would have been "hide in plain sight". If you really are a perpetrator: you would use a mask to perform the said fellony.

So face is just on factor: now they look at gait, and other body parts that can serve for identification.

ccozan··on Humanity isn't ready for the coming intelligence explosion
This is a valid concern for any runaway AI, but if energy is limited, then the AI would work on efficiency.

Still, Ai can move into physical space, as more and more robots of all kind are unleashed.

ccozan··on All of human cooking compressed into 2 megabytes
I mean Minecraft is quite similar in concept. Start with wood and stone and end up with an atomic bomb.

Also useful to watch Dr. Stone anime.

Hey, the e-trons from Audi are really well manufactured. I drive one daily and is a very pleasant drive, quiet and precise. And the software* is really well made - this took me by surprise.

*Can someone explain in 2026 why we are still shoveling Alexa shit everywhere? I cannot uninstall it from the car apps :(. Is Alexa still there during the GPTs era?

ccozan··on I'm Tired of Talking to AI
Yes and then we refuge in the physical meat space until the robots would be indistiguishing from humans.

Sounds like a movie plot, or is Bladerunner all over.

Also, you have to iradiate towards a space area which is not occupied by Earth. Ideally you go to Lagrange points with the datacenter but not around the earth.
