Obama didn't increase the deficit. Congress did, congress controls the budget, the buck stops with them. Obama had a friendly Congress for precisely two years and they basically did nothing worth remembering other than the Affordable Care Act which will be rolled back and push us back to the pre-existing conditions, even higher cost healthcare the at predated it, because Congress won't allow Medicare to use competitive drug pricing.
The reason the debt went up is because we were in a recession, fighting wars, and cut taxes. Of course the debt went up. You always need to spend governmental money to pull a country out of a recession, the government is the only one with enough money to do so. Same thing prior to capitalism. Cities that flourish have strong governmental spending. What we need to do is actually raise taxes and pay for what we've already spent. There's no amount of cutting taxes that will make us reduce the debt. I personally prefer the balanced-budget requirements, i.e. you can't spend money unless you say exactly where it's going to come from beforehand. I also wish that there were more studies spent on efficacy of money spent against the purpose and this was published regularly by the CBO.
As for the border wall, it's a terrible idea. No one is against border security, however border walls are a relatively terrible idea in most places due to costs, land rights, water rights, etc. It would be far more effective to spend money on more agents and automated drones to assist border control. Add to that we don't have a wall at the border with Canada so the idea of only protecting the Southern border comes across as silly since most people who are here illegally simply overstay their visas. If someone really wants to get into the US, it's trivially easy through numerous locations.

This literally took me less than two minutes to find. I'd imagine longer than it took to intentionally bury one's head in the sand.
I don't think that guerilla warfare is considered "unfair" by the US military today (can't speak for the 70s), the US still encourages it when it suits them, especially when encouraging regime change. Asymmetrical warfare requires guerilla tactics by the less conventionally powerful armies against more conventional armies.
The schools conveniently ignored the Native American assistance in fighting the British, and overstate the actual impact of the peasant rebellion. It was an organized army with discipline founded on the French that really cemented the colonists win over the British. George Washington really is one of the few Americans that was as amazing as his legend, if not more so.
Americans also really don't give enough credit to the French for their assistance. We sort of gloss over that point, however we did at least return the favor in WW1 and WW2 as well as taking over the mission in Vietnam. So I think I pretty much wrote all of this to agree that yes our narratives definitely evolve.
Have an awesome weekend.
I can't say I'm seeing much innovation that isn't design related specific to form factor. Their software has stagnated, iTunes and Apple music are a hot mess of garbage. Aside from removing the headphone jack to force people into higher priced headphones, I'm having a hard time finding the value and the market seems to be agreeing.
At this point in time Apple really doesn't provide a compelling reason to me to use them. They lack a ton of polish, podcasts, family sharing management, dongle hell, and uninspired hardware that makes a lot of trade offs in order to be trendy are why I'll be moving back to Android. I guess in the end for me that's just a better market fit.
To the linux v Microsoft v MacOS there's really little difference aside from gaming and MS Office. If you're running servers or coding an Ubuntu purpose made laptop or server will generally work. If you need PowerPoint or gaming then you need Microsoft, and if you like a Unix environment or own an iPhone then MacOS and dongle hell is your best bet. From personal experience I've had the most problem with Apple products but ymmv. I know people who've never had a single issue and don't mind the dongle.

This article still seems unnecessarily harsh. Reddit didn't set out to be bad. Most of the moderators try to do a good job. The bad elements on the site are pervasive and can destroy a positive subreddit with a sideways glance. Let's not forget this is the place where a conspiracy theory was born that caused a pizza place to get labeled a pedophile ring causing a man to shoot up the place.
Atheists are also banned from serving in government in 7 US states as part of their state Constitutions, though the laws are unenforceable. Atheists also can't be Freemasons or Boy Scouts. So yeah you're wrong again.
