No one actually believes you if you say that. Even if it is true.

I wonder why the 486 DX is supported but not the SX. How is the math coprocessing unit necessary for kernel and basic system tools?

I understand it, but I am not the majority Apple user.

This author misses the point because he is a geek. Ordinary users love Apple and do not care about these issues. Ordinary users throw money at Apple. Apple has some bugs to fix but overall the product is good, and that’s why they keep raking in cash. Saying good riddance to Tim Cook because of the system preference pane, among other trivial things (to most people), is simply misunderstanding business.

And still, ITU modem standards and T.30 … yes, fax still lives!

The new times take now beneath the new time while new times take the new year.

Or more concisely, localhost.

Brings to mind boom box punk from Star Trek 4. Flight attendants should be allowed to Vulcan-nerve-pinch.

Will not pass muster with FCC. Know Your Customer regulations require the company to … know the customer. They will not last.

I’m more of an arse than a tool.

In case you think fax is now ancient history, there are tens of millions of faxes still crossing the PSTN every day. Fax is alive and well!

As a subscriber of NextDNS I say, first, this is cool, but second, don’t do it. I don’t want NextDNS to face some sort of judgment that will get it shut down. Just publish the “DNS tricks” so that people can DIY but don’t make it part of your service.

Life was good for engineers 15 years ago!

Musk would have liked to be the US president but can’t because he’s South African.

So he conned the stupidest but most powerful man alive into letting him be acting president.

Deep thoughts: why aren’t “increment” and “excrement” opposites?

Or “Bell Atlantic”

Yet she keeps calling ops people “monkeys.”

What’s the relevance of this question?

There’s a lot of good to say about AI but there are a lot of us who just enjoy humanity a lot more than AI and other automation. I like talking to people on the phone, going through staffed checkout lines, and reading real articles and comments on the web. I’m human and I want to interact with other humans. I’m not the only one.

Thankfully, the blog’s comments section was still open so that you could pollute it with your smug pedantry.
