brokenparser··on GNOME Developers Hate the Mouse, Remove Middle-Click Paste
Buy a better mouse, a B100 is just $13 at Newegg. The cheapest is almost $5 and it'll probably work just fine.

It's the same in Firefox Nightly 26.

Thanks, I can't access Facebook from here. Might as well post the direct torrent URLs:

brokenparser··on Web server in one line of bash
You get what you pay for.
brokenparser··on Steam-powered Blender
The plan is to get that, and let the community to their work from thereon. Not necessarily a bad thing, but I (for one) wouldn't want to do their job for free.
brokenparser··on Web server in one line of bash
Why? It only takes one ^C
brokenparser··on A dead simple approach to a Vagrant stack
It appears to be based on Ubuntu 12.04 i386, uses Chef and dotdeb packages (meant for Debian). I don't know why anyone would bother with this, but it probably has an odd use case somewhere. It's still easier to use libvirt and kickstart, no VirtualBox needed. You can simply pastebin the kickstart file if you don't have a webserver yet.
brokenparser··on Steam-powered Blender
No, I do that myself. This is like writing a plugin to integrate WinSCP with Azure. Who the fuck cares except Microsoft?
brokenparser··on Steam-powered Blender
I quote:

We'd hope that this will get enough of our users
exposed to and interested in Blender so they will
be inclined to work on Blender plugins that would
    talk to Steam's backend services
Recruiting you say? Certainly so, they appear to be taking volunteers.
brokenparser··on Steam-powered Blender
I read this is as "Hey, can everyone do our work for us? That'd be great."
brokenparser··on My hell as a 911 operator
Hate to break it to you, but that sounds more than adequate. I would choose differently if given the choice, but it's not a valid excuse for pausing 3 minutes to generate a job number by quite a long shot.
brokenparser··on Android Bug Superior to Master Key
So your suggestion is to pass the buck onto "vendors"? Who are they and what can they do about it? Think outside the box!
brokenparser··on Android Bug Superior to Master Key
Yes, captain obvious? What do you suggest?
brokenparser··on LibreOffice 4.1 New Features and Fixes
StarOffice was already good enough over a decade ago for me to buy it. Back then, WordPerfect was still around. Today, OpenOffice and LibreOffice are the last of their kind but the latter has a much quicker development pace. They could just box it up and ship it like OpenBSD does, 10/10 would buy again regardless of how they call it.
brokenparser··on Google Unveils The New Nexus 7 Android Tablet
Luckily, Android has a battery usage overview in system settings which tells you exactly what the culprits are at what percentage.

brokenparser··on What's new in Android 4.3
There are lots of things in the new version, but just because your random wish isn't there it's "not much"? Give me a break. Besides, you can already do that with DroidWall or any other firewall in the play store.
brokenparser··on Leaked Samsung exFat driver relicensed as GPL
Oh, I'm sorry. It appears I accidentally fed prose into a markov chain.
brokenparser··on Leaked Samsung exFat driver relicensed as GPL
Yeah no, MSFT was fined €561M as recently as March this year on account of failing to comply with an agreement made in 2009 (to offer users a choice of web browser) following an antitrust case settlement to the tune of €860M in 2007 and a complaint from Opera Software about the missing choice screen.
brokenparser··on Leaked Samsung exFat driver relicensed as GPL
Nexus devices use one big data partition for everything, so you won't have that problem.

Downside is, no more offline backups or increasing the storage capacity by a quick swap of the card.

brokenparser··on Forgotten Employee (2002)
I bought a "dumb" Symbian phone and it has "fake call" functionality. It even allows you to configure which button to press and the timeout to wait for the event. If you answer it, you just hear nothing but it won't hang up on you. It's well worth the steep price of $5.
brokenparser··on Poll: What do you use for Unix process management/monitoring?

brokenparser··on David Cameron cracks down on online pornography
I would not have a problem with this, I pay for the pipe so it's their job to deliver that service. It sucks not to have full Internet access. The proposed legislation is hard to swallow but I'll openly resist it, no biggie.
brokenparser··on David Cameron cracks down on online pornography
In a free market economy, you could provide filtering as a service to those who want it. You get to use whatever setup of proxies and packet sniffers you please, so as long as they don't overstep the users mandate. Routing your other customers past these intermediaries would be a good idea, you can provide each customer the service they want.
brokenparser··on David Cameron cracks down on online pornography
Targeted ads would be the least of my worries. What concerns me is fascist governments deciding they get to filter whatever they're contempt with. Such censorship doesn't fit well with civil liberties, we know this from other countries which already have nation-wide filtering.
brokenparser··on David Cameron cracks down on online pornography
Don't know why this was downvoted, I couldn't have put my thoughts into better words than this. But to to the narrow-minded, let me put it another way: We have contraceptives, we can have sex whenever we damn choose to, with whoever we fancy.
brokenparser··on GitHub is "experiencing major service outages"
Email.

No seriously, that is the simplest thing to use and punches right through any firewall, anywhere. Instead of git push, do this:

    tar cvf project.tgz .git
    mail -a project.tgz team@example.net

    Subject: Pull request #9042
Please pull master branch from attached
git repository, it fixes all the things.
    ^D
The other end can extract that and add the remote pointing to the local filesystem path.

Other than that, any file server will work. Apache, nginx, samba (just mount it), rsync, even *ftpd.

brokenparser··on GitHub is "experiencing major service outages"
Gitlab is easy to set up and it works really well. It has a much cleaner and pleasant interface as well (especially since GitHub ruined theirs about a month ago).
brokenparser··on GitHub is "experiencing major service outages"
For us, GitHub issues > corporate intranet. Beyond that, JIRA just doesn't add enough to be truly worthwhile.
