Like which cultures?

It doesn't, but almost any word other than rich would be better. Sparse, for example.

You realize people get cameras and phones into actual prisons, right?
breezybottom··on California farmers are struggling to sell grapes as demand for wine drops
It's not a social norm if you're the only one doing it.

Your anecdote is meaningless. And you're the only one who said "responsible". It doesn't appear in the quote.
breezybottom··on Kids turned low-traffic NPR Spotify comments into a secret group chat
You're wrong. The mental harm of social media has nothing to do with any of that.

I'm not sure I understand the distinction. You're saying that kids will always get around blocking software, unless it's coded by their family? That's a wild proposition.

Modal harmony is the definition of rich? That seems like literally the opposite. It's often vamping on single chords.
breezybottom··on Sonnet 5.5
Was it a hit with everyone, or did HN hate it? Both those things can't be true.
breezybottom··on Previously unheard recordings of John Coltrane, captured by Frank Tiberi
It's all subjective. The idea that none of these are dense is pretty bonkers to me. Some people don't find hard-bop to be approachable. Kind of Blue is really more the exception to his typical output.

That's still not a definition, that's just you saying how you feel about it.
breezybottom··on Too AI; Didn't Read
No, it's not. The only way it could is through watermarking, and even then you need a substantial amount of text for that to be reliable.
breezybottom··on Previously unheard recordings of John Coltrane, captured by Frank Tiberi
When you say accessible I guess you're excluding his free jazz period. And "rich" harmonies doesn't really mean anything. If you're saying that he stacks more extensions than Bill Evans, that seems hard to quantify.
breezybottom··on Too AI; Didn't Read
AI detectors are useless. I don't know how this forum got so infected with Pangram shills, but at this point they need to be banned.
breezybottom··on Tutoring company tells parents to save their money and 'use AI instead'
The idea that math will ever be more interesting to kids than making bombs is laughable.
breezybottom··on Tutoring company tells parents to save their money and 'use AI instead'
Almost no one is, so I don't get your point.

Driving your kids to sports is bad now? Seems like there's a new moral panic every week.
breezybottom··on Pentagon says overreliance on AI contributed to missile strike on Iran school
I literally just said that it's not a crime in several states if the parents do it.

Who is "America"? California still has no minimum age. Most Republicans still oppose age limits.
breezybottom··on Pentagon says overreliance on AI contributed to missile strike on Iran school
Because society has an interest in preventing girls from being sex trafficked by their parents.
breezybottom··on Pentagon says overreliance on AI contributed to missile strike on Iran school
Yep. Last time this happened, during the Afghanistan withdrawal, no one was even fired.
breezybottom··on Pentagon says overreliance on AI contributed to missile strike on Iran school
Clearly Americans are ok with it, because that's how they vote. West Virginia didn't raise the age of marriage to 16 until 2023, after years of staunch Republican opposition.
breezybottom··on Claude Opus 5.5
Lmao each one gets worse as the effort increases.
breezybottom··on Claude Opus 5.5
"Where Opus 5.5’s advantage is very clear is efficiency."

Not efficiency in writing, clearly.

Wait, you're saying that writing wasn't invented by a guy with an ibis head?
breezybottom··on Resident Evil 4 (GameCube) – complete byte-identical decompilation to C/C++
No they didn't.
breezybottom··on English: A vs. An
I don't think the context is self evident at all. It's very important to know whose pocket he picked.
breezybottom··on AI-generated posters don’t have to be horrible
Your personal experience means nothing.
breezybottom··on AI-generated posters don’t have to be horrible
That doesn't even make sense. If you volunteered, then you did find someone. Yourself.
