brainphreeze··on Trump wins presidency for second time
The user base here seems to be just as close-minded and condescending as it is on Reddit.

Very disappointing to be honest.

brainphreeze··on NASA announces Boeing Starliner crew will return on SpaceX Crew-9
We've been dreaming of space travel since long before Elon was born. The hate people have for Elon is absolutely wild.

Never been a big fan of twitter, but it looks the same to me as it always has. It's never been that user friendly for those not logged in.

Anything Elon is bad now though apparently. Seen quite a few comments hoping the Starship launch fails tomorrow, strange times we live in.

They're all doing it. Big tech, social media, left/right.
brainphreeze··on Stanford's “Elimination of Harmful Language” Initiative
Do not hire people that attend schools that push insane agendas such as these, period.

There are hundreds of other good schools around the world that don't institute crazy policies such as these - it's time for parents and their children to start pushing back and letting schools with agendas know that this is not okay and there will unfortunately have to be negative consequences for their students who "just go along" with it for the prestige of going to Stanford. These power-crazed schools are becoming indoctrination camps.

brainphreeze··on Paul Graham is leaving Twitter for now
This website is heavily left leaning, like most of the internet these days.
brainphreeze··on WikiLeaks is struggling to stay online as millions of documents disappear
Curious, how has he harmed you?
brainphreeze··on Twitter to Lay Off 25% of Workforce
Sounds like you've gone over the edge to be honest.
brainphreeze··on Musk’s inner circle worked through weekend to cement Twitter layoff plans
Can't tell if this is sarcasm or not
brainphreeze··on Over 50% of CEOs say they’re considering cutting jobs over the next 6 months
We're not "officially" in a recession because the midterms are just around the corner. The numbers they use to judge inflation, GDP, recession are all fudged for political purposes. I don't need some greased politician or partisan body to tell me that.

This would be the same regardless of which party were in power, the government lies.

brainphreeze··on Vulnerability Management for Go
Has anyone tested this? I'm testing it on a project with known vulnerabilities and am getting positive matches when testing against a go binary (govulncheck binary), but not when ran within a directory using: govulncheck .

brainphreeze··on Quick Tip: Enable Touch ID for Sudo (2020)
I'd tend to agree to be honest. Consider this: a group of thieves jump you and pin you down, they want to perform a banking transaction on your phone. They grab your hand, extend your finger and press it against the phones sensor. They're in. On some mobile banking apps, they can perform the same.

The use of a password only known to you cannot be physically taken from you as your mind controls that authentication mechanism.

brainphreeze··on Heart-disease risk soars after Covid, even with a mild case
Trusting the numbers that come out of China, yeah right.

Taking a look at your post history, you seem to spend a considerable amount of time defending China, what's up with that?

brainphreeze··on Pfizer’s Covid-19 Pill is 89% Effective in Phase 2/3 Study
Some of the things you've said are just flat out incorrect. It's blatantly obvious you're parroting CNN and Late Show hacks.
brainphreeze··on Big Tech call center workers face pressure to accept home surveillance
People aren't going to like this take, but it's fairly simple from security point of view given that many companies have to adhere to security standards around "physical security", such as ISO 27001 and SOC 2.

You either go back in to the office, where companies can ensure the security of their networks and environments, or you don't have a job. I don't agree with this, but in terms of security, when people are working from home there are standards that we simply cannot meet, which could potentially cost a small business large contracts.

Scoping is important and these issues will have to be figured out now in the post-pandemic world.
